i also dont want to see anyone take shots at lebron when kevin love has gotten a pass from this forum for doing the same thing with the wolves, demanding a trade a year out from when his deal is done.

But gtc 2 completely different scenarios...

Kevin Love has learned quickly, just as Kevin Garnett did, that Minnesota is going to make no effort to better that team.

I don't think much of Carmelo Anthony as a player, but I can actually see his reason for wanting to leave New York.

But Lebron on the other hand, knows he's being compared to other great players, and also knows his legacy depends on him winning titles, and that's all he's in search of these days and will do whatever necessary to find those players he feels can help him achieve his personal goals...

He's a pussy boy and a publicity whore.

Wake me up when the world realized he will NEVER be a Michael.

Too chickenshit to take the last shot and always shopping for a few other guys so he can win games.

I will never understand this type of LeBron hate. Why does he have to be Michael? Why can't he be LeBron? His game and his strengths are different than Mike's. That isn't a bad thing. He's undoubtedly the best basketball player on the planet. He takes more unwarranted shots than any athlete I can ever remember.

In Mantis Insect language is "unwarranted" a compliment?

Your point is the same as mine. I have no problem with him NOT being Michael. In face.... anyone with knowledge of the sport.... should bet their nuts that he will NEVER be Michael. He is simply a physical anomaly with some talent. But does no even faintly resemble the GOAT!

He can be LeBron all he wants to. I welcome that. People just need to quit pretending that he is some top of the mountaintop 2 or 3 type talent in NBA history. He simply is not.

Let me start by saying that i'm a heat fan (yes in the Seikally & Harold Minor days as well). I wanted Lebron to opt out. By opting out (hopefully bosh and wade do as well), the Heat can resign the big 3 at a lower salary and will give them more $$ to sign other quality free agents (would love to have Kyle Lowery at poing). If the heat go over the salary cap, they have to pay $2.50 per dollar spent over the cap so it can get pricy.

I see the big 3 signing for 13-15 mil a season. I see Wade coming off the bench next year in a Manu Ginobli type role. Not sure why Lebron would want to leave the Heat. They have been a 1st class organization and Pat Riley is a pretty straight up guy. I cant see Lebron in the west since its easier to make it to the finals in the eastern conference.

Pat Riley is on the clock now. He has brought Zo to Miami, he's brought Shaq, and now he's brought Lebron. In Riley we trust!!
Yeah, I think this is pretty much what it comes down to. The million dollar question is will Wade and Bosch opt out? If not it means the Big 3 are no longer working in concert and the party is officially over in Miami. I'm willing to bet that Wade and Bosch opt out in the next couple of days. I just wouldn't bet my house on it. Maybe your house...LOL!

Haha, Mantis Toboggan has nothing to do with insects. Dr. Mantis Toboggan is from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Back to LeBron, though. Is he top 2 or 3 right now? No, but he's 29. Michael Jordan was 29 when he won his 2nd NBA title. LeBron has plenty of career left to become a top 5 player in NBA history.

Can't imagine him going anywhere. Opting out to resign for a lesser contract makes the most sense.

LeBron's been in the league since when.... when he was six years old.

Michael was not out shopping around for teammates and showboating making his "decisions".

His game spoke for him. He was not AWOL at last shot time when the game was on the line.

Noticed you fudged up to "top 5" on your response?

Read my post further above.
It explains it to a tee.

It's not about his family, it's not about his teammates, it's not about anything but him searching for and using the most suitable players in helping him win enough titles so he can try & shut ppl up and entrench his name in the record books.

Once he's done using that player or players, like he has Dwyane Wade, he will move on if they aren't capable anymore.

People will always remember his drama based move to Miami, following the talent there.

In my opinion the only way he can right things & earn people's respect is to go back to Cleveland, or another team not already loaded, and work his way to winning more titles.

Not have them handed to him on a silver platter...

I can't defend "the decision" but I can certainly defend leaving for Miami. Cleveland's front office was terrible. Look at what happened to KG in Minnesota, was LeBron supposed to do the same in Cleveland? Michael had Scottie (not to mention Kukoc, Rodman and Horace Grant), LeBron had...Ilgauskas? Daniel Gibson? Mo Williams? Who wouldn't leave Cleveland?

If he leaves Miami to team up with CP3 or Melo, then you are correct and I can't really argue these points with you.

He stays in Miami, he does this so the team has a better chance to WIN now...

And Whoever said not 6 not 5 not 4 but 2...

2 isn't a failure...

4 straight Finals, 2 Championships. Not a failure. Most ridiculous post of 2014.

Powerful post Hache!

I will rest on this discussion after that. That is so well said. All I would like to add is what I already said.....

its amazing how the NBA has become a player run league and we are going to have 3-5 Super Power teams that dominate every year.

parody gone in the worst professional sport ( my opinion only ) how can you even be a fan of mid market teams know they have no chance to ever land a "big 3"

yeah, you'll have an Indiana, OKC, etc...that will build through the draft and get lucky with some mid tier FA's

acebb is on the right track. lebron opting out was not a surprise. puts the pressure on ownership to spend money with the threat he'll bail if he doesnt like what happens. still think houston is the dark horse.

Kevin Love was not forced down our throat like Lebron was - Love never called himself the King - or said he was on the Mt. Rushmore or hoops - bottom line is Lebron is one of the great players - but he is not someone dynasties are built around - he is behind modern day players like TD, Kobe, Jordan, Shaq and Kakeem - now he will try to join a team so he show us all he's a winner

Does not mean he is moving. He is just a "publicity bitch". You have not noticed?

Wonder what Lebron is going to do next to be even more of an attention whore. Maybe he will try to play baseball or something to create an even bigger circus. Maybe then he retire and then unretire a couple times.
