I don't understand the Izzy/Vettori line at all, I figured Izzy would be over -400 for that. I guess there is some thinking that Izzy is vulnerable to grappling/wrestling but that was against a guy 25 pounds bigger than him and Jan didn't even hurt him when it went to the ground. He will pick Vettori apart standing just like he did 3 years ago. Since that fight Vettori has had maybe 1 win on Izzy's level with the win over Hermansson. Izzy has beaten Whittaker, Gastelum, Yoel, Costa, Brunson and for the most part, has done so easily.

Completely agree, I priced Adesanya at -440. Complete overreaction to the Blachowicz fight.

Just curious but if you really price Izzy at -440 wouldn't that merit more than a unit given how much volume you put up? That's a big overlay.

I bet him pretty big so he'll probably lose, maybe another Yan job.

I think Edwards wins but Diaz at that price is a good bet not going against a wrestler

I disagree that Izzy should be 4-1
But likely Vettori doesn't have enough power, size and strength like Jan to make that style beat Izzy
I think the odds are near right though considering it isn't oiut of the realm for him to try and do what Jan did and also their previous fight
At -250 I would stay away from Vettori. If Izzy was 4-1 I would take a shot with Vettori

Diaz a weird dude but between his interviews and the line moving from Edwards -350 to -580, I don't even think he trained much. Seems like he's just there to pickup a paycheck.

I was digging into the matchup a bit more throughout the week and I believe my original work up was a bit inflated. I still favor Izzy quite a bit, but I was a little off initially.

Best of luck with your action this weekend.

Izzy should've been -800 or more, Vettori had nothing for him

Jan fight was a gift as it somehow changed perception for a minute, gotta pounce in those spots

Good luck today on this early card. I like a good bit of your picks. I too agree that most of the fights today have possible barking dogs. This card is filled with not so worthy UFC fighters, some actually suck...

Everything logical tells me Poirier should beat McGregor, we're now coming up on close to 5 years since McGregor won the title. Just a long damn time and not much motivation to stay sharp.

Poirier really solid, high floor/high IQ fighter. Almost got KO'd in rd 1 last time, seems like he probably knows he has to be careful early on and stay patient then eventually begin to break McGregor down after the initial flurry.

Then just the obvious elephant in the room, people worth 9 figures don't really fight in cages.

Agreed, I’ll be on Poirier no doubt. He gets out of the first he should get the win. I’m looking at some sub props as I could see Poirier taking a tired/hurt McGregor down as the fight goes on.

Not sure of the accuracy of this, but a friend of mine mentioned DK just released Izzy only -200 against Whittaker. I’m sure you can’t get much down on it now, but that seems quite low to me.

I wish I got him at -110, it is -125 now. Line moved after that staph infection stuff but it has also stayed there.

I also think Sandhagen schools TJ, TJ is 35, 2.5yrs off at 135 where fighters don't have much longevity. Seems like that fight kinda goes similar to Font/Garbrandt where he gets picked apart at range and unless he can use his wrestling, he's just gonna lose a standup fight. All those awkward angles/movements he has probably be nullified by reach as well.

That division just moves fast.

Such a weird line. Sand-176
Is it value with TJ or does the line say everything? -176 against the guy who was suppose to be the best 135er and has never really lost. The Cruz fight was a toss up even though Cruz got the nod The first Assuncao fight was a split with most people outside the judges picking Dillashaw

Thing about TJ is his wrestling never really wins fights
It is movement and tricky shit
He is great with head kicks off of punches
One of the best at it
He needs to catch Sand with something like that
His(TJ) hands are okay but nothing special
