EPL: Wigan vs. Chelsea

The handicap on this one is -1 and -1.5 for Chelsea. Can Wigan put in a good effort here since they are new to the league and want to do well against powerhouse Chelsea? Or does Chelsea just have too much talent?

Wigan put forth an incredible effort but still came up short thanks to a late Blues strike. Sorry I didn't take the head start. Knew it looked like too much for a promotion team on the opening weekend going against the champs. It's a shame they couldn't grab a point from this one.

Chelsea 1, Wigan 0
Crespo gets one in during the 90th minute. I too had reservations on Wigan. I knew they would put forth a good effort but I didn't know if Chelsea would be too much for them. As it turned out, Chelsea were putting forth just enough effort and almost blew the win.
