aston villa-man city over 2' goals...as a city fan, i refuse to give up on the season ending push towards the champions league..but with the downing of shay given in the net, the keeping is left to newcomer to the club marton fulop...which i guess is an improvement over the faroe islands own gunnar nielson(wasn't he in a band with his twin bro?...-bad joke, i know)..so i have my doubts....there is a call for mancini to give the boys the go-ahead to push forward instead of laying back and defending like they did the last 2 matches...which netted them exactly 0 goals...i totally question mancini on those tactics because what brought them to the position right before the man u game was attack, attack, attack...scoring in droves.....if this is to be true, which i believe it will, the counter attack of villa will no doubt put a few behind fulop...see his performance vs. chelsea earlier in the campaign to see how wonderful he is in net(chelsea banged in 7 against him)....man city's only way i see to hit the 4th spot is to outscore their opponents the rest of the way...as a matter of fact, i plan on playing the over in the last 3 man city matches against spurs and west ham next week...cheers...and let's go goals :toast:
update going into sat....the keeping situation is up in arms....it will be a gametime decision now...really don't think it will matter...really starting to get the feeling that villa is going to walk away with the victory now...adebayor and barry are now doubtful fer the tilt....hopefully mancini sees this as an opportunity to give santa cruz the start...with him and tevez along the front lines the scoring options will be there...villa claims to have some nicks also but martin o'neill is being very quiet about them....still going big on the over and if i didn't support city so much, i would take a stake on villa at 3-1....but i won't....cheers and here's to a high scoring city victory
i think you got the move here...really want man city to take that 4th spot...but now an article comes out yesterday that mancini has told tevez to leave and seek greener pastures if he doesn't like his training methods...which admittedly are ridiculous at times...as a city fan, i've had enuff of this guy...just wish he would leave well enuff alone and head back to italy....carlos has become an icon at city...and now this story comes out on the eve of what could be described as one of the biggest fixtures of the year fer man city....we'll see...i am not expecting a miracle today with the tossers they have in goal....still waiting on the line-ups..should be interesting...cheers
