seen a lot of folks on overs here in week 1 EPL. Just to throw some stats around recent history since my memories are that all games seem to go under and draw in 1st round. Turned out my memory is not so good or, more probably, every side I bet drew and every over went under

2006-07 round one
7/10 games reached at least 3 goals (2 games drew both 1-1)

2005-06 round one
3/10 games reached at least 3 goals (4 games drew, 3 games ended 0-0)

2004-05 round one
3/10 games reached at least 3 goals (6 games drew, 5 games 1-1 FT)

2003-04 round one
9/10 games reached at least 3 goals (2 games drew both 2-2)

2002-03 round one
4/10 games reached at least 3 goals (3 games drew, two were 0-0)

2001-02 round one
5/10 games reached at least 3 goals (2 games drew)

2000-01 round one
5/10 games reached at least 3 goals (2 games drew)

Things tend to be cagey on opening day as managers dont want to start on a losing foot. If your going to bet this theory the 0-0 draws are the way to go as far as value is concerned but leave out any TV games. :drink:
