I've noticed that. Of course, I don't have Directv. Let's say I'm not happy and Fox Soccer Channel sucks.

I don't think there is anything wrong w/ FSC, but having all 3 (GolTV being the 3rd) is fantastic. Setanta also has champions league games and more WC qualifiers.

44,
I like to refer to them as the big 3. Saturday morning I was bouncing between AV v. Arsenal, Bremen v. Leverkusen, Newcastle v. Wigan.

With La Liga starting up this weekend Gol TV will now have something to add with the Bundesliga. Serie A is tentatively supposed to start on Sept. 10 and if memory serves me that should be on Gol TV also.

Ligue 1 is on Setanta and that pretty much covers the top leagues in Europe.

My only problem is that there is not enough time to take all the games in and since the EPL has taken over Setanta the Championship is going to get much less coverage, with the exception of the Friday game. At least they have the Football League Review show.

I'm confused. FSC is showing 4 games this Saturday.

Fitz, you need DirecTV. All of the cable providers pale in comparison IMO. They also now have Fox Sports Espanol which shows more games from the latin and south american leagues. Not for me, but more games. If only it had ESPN Deportes we would be all set.

PGH, one word, GET TIVO. Not only can you watch when you want, but you can fly through a game in about 70-75 minutes once you blow through half time and forward through the rolling around, goal celebrations, subs, corner kick setup, free kick set up, goal kicks. The slowest fast forward speed is the key for all of in game forwarding since it doesn't jump back like 30 seconds when you stop it. I watched 3 games in 4 hours over the weekend and didn't miss any actual game action.

Serie A is on GolTV and if I remember correctly from last year FSC has some too.

Why do I need direct TV when I still have FSC ? They are showing both games today, Chelsea tomorrow and four games on Saturday.

Talk to me .....

Directv is a must. Euro '04 was the reason I changed from my local cable company to Directv. My local carrier was carrying games on a individual basis at $24.99 a game, but Directv had the package. Case closed.

Not to mention it's the only way to get Setanta since Directv is the sole provider in the United State.

44, oh yes, my tivo works overtime. Even then I have trouble cramming it all in.

Fitz,

As PGH said, Setanta is one reason, GolTV is a second and the package is the third. There are also some random spanish channels that show Euro games, World Cup qualifiers and Confed Cup. No idea if they are available on your local provider.

Setanta has many many more champions league games, WC qualifiers and presumably Euro qualifiers than any other channel. Not to mention it now also has EPL games. Between Setanta and FSC, you can pretty much watch every EPL game all season long.

GolTV shows Serie A and La Liga if those interest you. I don't follow Bundesliga, but I think they are also on GolTV. I don't believe that is availabel on local providers.

You get GolTV and FSC when you buy the FS package (~$12/month) and Setanta is as separate purchase for $12/mo. Directv also has an MLS, MLB, NBA, College Football, NFL and NHL package you can buy. And, I think it is actually cheaper than most regular providers (I know it is cheaper than Comcast).
