I've been putting in quite a bit more time on my soccer picks since last weekend, spending between 2 - 3 hours for some of the series. I'm trying to do more research to switch from being a hack to a serious source of information. Here are this weekend's picks for the Premiership:

Fulham -0.5 +102 over Blackburn
Blackburn/Fulham draw +227
Blackburn has not won on the road. In fact, they have 2 draws and 5 losses while away from home. Fulham is looking to take out their frustrations on someone after playing 2 tough matches.

Birmingham -0.5 -117 over Norwich (0.60 units)
Norwich/Birmingham draw +240 (0.40 units)
Norwich had not won a game until their victory last weekend at home. What are the odds that they can win 2 in a row?

Norwich/Birmingham under 2 and 2.5 -112
Birmingham surprised everyone by scoring 3 goals in the 1st half last weekend. Before that they had scored 4 goals in 6 away matches. I believe that is very unlikely to happen again. Norwich has scored 4 goals in 7 away matches.

Aston Villa pk and +0.5 over Man City
Villa has won 4 out of their last 5 matches.

Everton +0.5 over Newcastle
The wrong team is favored here. Newcastle had lost 3 in a row until beating lowly Crystal Palace last weekend. Everton's only recent loss was 1-0 against Chelsea.

Middlesbrough pk +106 over Tottenham
Tottenham has lost their last 6 matches. Middlesbrough has not lost in their last 7.

Just thought I would add that the units for the Fulham/Blackburn match should be 0.60 units for Fulham -0.5 +102 and 0.4 units for the draw on that match. Also, the units for Birmingham -0.5 should be 1.25 and the units for Norwich/Birmingham draw should be 0.75.

Sorry for any confusion.

Birmingham 1, Norwich 1 (net +1.00)
Man City 2, Aston Villa 0 (loss: net -1.00)
