Honestly ,enough is enough. They happened ,they were awful but move on already. We created a Homeland Security dept. There has not been another attack here in the US since then.

The whole point of this is to appease the victims families through Monday morning quarterbacking. How much tax $ do we need to spend on hearings and memorials and other (in my opinion) nonsense to appease them?

Come on! For all the junk that Congress spends time and money on, the time and money spent on the 9/11 commission and like investigations is a mere pittance and is well worth it. Knowledge is power.

Mr NJ Sports - NO SH!T!!!!

I would much rather see this money be put to Homeland Defense than finding out who to point the finger at. Nobody could possibly have seen this coming!

I mean give me a break!!! Nothing had ever happened like this before in our history, except for Pearl harbor.

If Bush would have spent tons of money on Airline security before 9/11 and no disaster happened, the Democrats would have bitched about that.

The Democrats are wasting our money with these hearings. But then again, if you are a Democrat, you are more than happy to give the government more and more money. You do it every time a Democrat is elected by the increase in taxes.

So finding out how to prevent another 9/11 is a waste of money...but spending millions of dollars and months of times in Congress to learn the details of Clinton's hummers and the defintion of 'is' was a wise use of taxpayers' money? Is that the Republican position? Come on...admit it...you don't like the hearings because you're afraid of what may come out...and it can only be bad for your hero, King Bush. Just admit it. Please.

What tax dollars are being wasted? It is a bunch of government employees questioning a bunch of government employees, all of whom have jobs located in DC. The media is wasting their own money covering it. By my book they should have meetings like this about 200 days a year. When they aren't occupied with stuff like this they are busy putting shit to us taxpayers, filling up every bill with localized pork or trying to pass laws that only a guy with a stick up his ass could think really does society any good. If you haven't noticed, they don't exactly solve the world's problems in there, they just like to make you believe that when they spend time on something it leads to something good but I think 99% of us can refute that point right away.

I have to say that the day that Rummy, halfbright, cohen, and the FBI head honcho testified was worth every penny. It's getting clouded over pretty well now by the demis and the press.

The folks named above all made mention that 9/11 could have been prevented. Granted we had fought Al quida in the 1990's.

D2bets - According to Democrats, the country was in great shape when Clinton was in office so money was no object.

PS - I was only in my 20's when Clinton was in office. But I can honestly say that it was a waste of taxpayers money on those hearings also.
