I didn't see a foul on that video Mob, I think that doesn't get called in that spot more often than it gets called, and by a significant margin

I saw that as a no call all the way, not even sure if there was any contact

My only issue is he waited to see if it went in, and then he called the foul. Basketball refs are taught to not even look at the ball. Who cares if it goes in. Was it a foul? Yes, it was a foul. You can't do that. That is why I always say follow the ball on defense. Don't try tk put your hand in front of their eyes and accidentally hit their face or put your hand in their elbow space.
They call way more ticky tack shit than that in the nba...you guys just see the direct result. But real talk isiah thomas got blocked two or three times on drives in that 4th qtr. Bulls were in position to win the game and the refs didn't put them there. Zach zarba also one of the most home influenced refs there are

All this. There's was a "hit" on the elbow. It's the delay that makes it so annoying.

It's way safer to not call it. That is why most don't. Because it is a finger on an elbow with the game on the line. Most of the time it is the guy who shot it complaining at the end of the game that he got fouled and they didn't call it. Zarba is a veteran official. No incentive to rigging that game. If smart would have made contact with a finger on him anywhere else besides his elbow then no way Zarba calls that.

Butler created space with the spin and rose up and Smart was underneath him and the only way he could contest the shot was getting in his elbow space. It was a good individual move from butler to get a good look

Who was Thomas giving the evil eye to at the end? he lingered on court, surrounded by coachs,etc...eventually left- thought he was looking to jaw at some Bulls player

Worst call in the history of the Association!
- Celts bettors

He was HACKED!!!!
- Bulls bettors

As an unbiased observer thought it was ticky-tac at best, something you rarely see called at the end of games.

I don't call it a FIX just a typical NBA "Crime of Opportunity." All the NBA needs to do for the Books is get them to the Winner's Circle more often than not on these type of games. The formula works by setting a Line that is off. BOS should have been -3 or -3.5 in this game. But instead the number is a Pick. Then at the end of the game if the opportunity arises make a call in one direction that you WOULD NOT MAKE in the other direction. Do it in a certain number of games and you reverse player's fortunes.

But as I've said before players fix more games than refs. That's how you end up with a MIL (-5 or 6) 129-125 score vs the Nets after a wire-to-wire blowout that includes the Bucks dribbling out the final 7 seconds without a foul :)
