These forums like Raiders place and a few others, they are always claiming to be "ON FIRE!!!" and growing by leaps and bounds ect.. VERY VERY untrue
These forums stay small forums because their ONLY way of promotion is the RX and other forums site promo section. WW has been open barely three months and we outrank all the forums that post here in site promos except one (I looked up all the forums that post in rx site promos, about 12 of them, and the only one that ranked higher than WW in traffic was a place I used to work at called OPU) :thumbsup2:
Reason is, Whale and (myself) is willing to open up the wallet and promote the price properly. We DO get quite a few hits from RX, but that is not our only way to promoting ourselves by a longshot...
Whale and myself advertise all over the place, we buy text links at more mainstream sites, I blog, write articles, post at mainstream sports/entertainment forums, ect... We send out press releases, and about ten other things I won't list here (top secret stategy
Right now, WW is getting between 350 and 550 visitors a day (granted, we have only had 160 signups in 3 months, we want more posters) That's the big issue, we are getting them in the door hand over fist, it's just getting them to register and post.
I expect that it'll pick up as football gets closer as basbeall is "dead season". But, I'll do it the right way. I'll work my ass off the make whalewager a success. I'll make sure as many people as I can will see the Whalewager name, the Whalewager banner, text link, I'll add quality content and discussion to the forum, I don't need no fucking gimmick shit
Successful business aren't built on stunts and gimmicks, they help you for a little bit for shock value but it wears off fast, and if you don't have the substance to back it up, the FORUM DIES
I've seen too many sites and forums die because it's one stupid gimmick after another stupid gimmick and there's no content, no substance, it's just one magic trick followed by another and people get tired of it and stop posting
But, back to the subject, as I stated in the above post, if a poster is basically saying to tfz or another "pay out the cash to post with us forum", "I don't wanna post at your place unless you pay me', I BE DAMNED if we offer them a dime!!! We don't need 'em
Guys like Potter, 5team, Outlaw, Yandek, quick Nick, 426, these are GREAT FOLKS who add so much to this place, more than I could ever offer them in money. Those are REAL posters who have passion for sports, gambling, interacting with others, you can't BUY THAT
I'll NEVER beg someone or bribe someone to come over here and post.
