Seattle -4
Seahawks learned some hard lessons this year in the two previous meetings, don't go into the tank too early, and you need TD's not FG's. Lessons learned. Seattle comes out strong in this spot. Alexander looks like he's smartly thrown water and not gasoline on his foolish "they backstabbed me" comments, and Hasslebeck looks to be back at full strength. Plus homefield, OUTDOORS, i might add give Seattle another advantage. It may be a different story if stubborn Martz wasn't obsessed with going downfield and abandoning the run too soon. Stephen Jackson's an absolute stud, and his best years will come after Martz is canned. Martz will ultimitely put his future in the hands of Marc Bulger, and that will be his undoing. Sea wins 34-17

Sunday
Indy -10
laying 10 isn't as hard when you have the NEW Greatest Show on Turf. Broncos may have given away too much of their gameplan last week, just like last year. Not trying to say it'll be over by halftime like last year. I have ABSOLUTELY no faith in Jake Plummer in a big game, especially when he may have to match Manning play for play. Indy's defense is up and down, but they will make plays when they need to. And the Colts offense gives then a little room for error. Indy wins 38-16

Green Bay -6 (small play)
Not betting this one because of "Favre at home in cold weather".... this is more about Minnesota's lack of heart. Remember last season? remeber this season? Hell, i can go all the way back to the NFC title game vs. the NY Giants. THE NFC TITLE GAME, and Minny had NO HEART!!!! On the field, Green Bay is just a little bit better in each category. The Minny defense at times makes the Packers D look like the '85 Bears. If GB comes out and punches the Vikes in the face, they'll quit. Green Bay 31-21

Hey ego74...

Nice writeups!

I must disagree with you however on your colt selecion, not including their final game against Denver because they rested players, we see that these colts only played five games against opponents with a top 10 defense...New England, Baltimore, San Diego, and Jacksonville ( twice ).

The colts went 3-2 straight up and 2-2-1 ATS in those games overall, however, the colts margin of victory was only by a meager 3 points in three of those games ( against NE, Jags, and SD ) and in these five games against top 10 defenses the colts largest margin of victory was by 10 points over Baltimore ( 20-10 ), however, keep in mind that Baltimore is "Offenseless" and of these top 10 defenses had the lowest ranked offense at #16.

Of the five games the colts played against these top 10 defenses this season, only New England and San Diego fielded a top 10 offense to go along with their top 10 defense...New England defeated the colts 27-24 and San Diego lost in OT 34-31...both games were decided by a FG.

Enter Denver in this playoff game against the colts...as 10 point dogs...a look at how Denver has fared statisically this season shows that the Broncos finished with the NFL's #3 offense and finished with the NFL's #3 defense.

Thus, Denver falls into the pattern of having a top 10 offense AND a top 10 defense and as we already know as illustrated above, these colts have struggled against both New England and San Diego who also field top 10 offensive and defensive units going 1-1 straight up and 0-1-1 ATS in those games.

Most think this is the same Denver team that got rocked by the colts 41-10 in last years wildcard round as 3 point dogs, however, this is a very different team as Denver HC Mike Shanahan acquired DB's John Lynch and Champ Bailey during the off-season for the express purpose of handling the colts in a playoff rematch.

My money is firmly on Denver +10 in this game as I feel this is way too many points for the colts to be laying, I also played a little on the Money-Line because it will not surprise me in the least if Denver wins this game with an UPSET.

take care and good luck!

Nice analysis, Deb.

Hey daringly..

Thank you very much for your kind words, let's just hope that I am on target with the analysis as my money is on those Broncos +10 in a big way with a little on the ML and I am also on the Packers -6.

take care and good luck!

congrats on winning the dimeplayer contest

i got 3rd

I like the rams, broncos, chargers, packers

i am a little concerned now that you are on the other side of some of these

anyone can post their picks here and there, but to go the whole season in nfl with over 80 plays documented and beat out everyone here is impressive.

people should take notice

good luck in the wagerweb contest - i'll be gunning for you

thanks

Thanks Vol, conrats to you also. Not off to much of a good start in the wagerweb contest. Did have the Jets though. Looking for Indy to take care of business this afternoon.

Thanks Deb. You seem to be pretty sharp yourself from what i've seen. The Dimeplayer contest was here at the RX, put on by GMoney. Very fortunate to come out on top in that one, considering how many great cappers participated.
