i still cant get into pinny. so i am posting the hdc as i remember them and the lines later on.Liverpool- Porto: Liverpool -1 !! 2 units!! Liverpool is playing solid right now and seems really focused in ECL since they are with their backs to the wall after first 2 losses. Porto does not need here. they can get their qualy next time at home.the over is also a nice play in case that it s 2.25 as Porto has shown they can score everywhere and that would make a sure over with my liverpool side play.

sorry for the terrible layout , but has to do with the computer i am working on

Chelsea -0.5,-1Trondheim way overrated. Chelsea will look for revange after embarrassing draw at home. schalke won easily at Trondheim and i expect the same from Chelsea here. They also seem to have their winning attitude back

Schalke +0.5,+1 !! 2 units!! and over 2,2.5Are you kidding me...it s almost the wrong team favourite here. Schalke welcomes back Kuranjy on offense, which has produced already a big away win in Bundesliga on Saturday...this team is really focused and definetely capable to get at least a draw at Valencia, which is not as strong as in the past this year. +0.75 is a gift.the over will only loose if Valencia does not score. i expect Schalke to score at least once but more likely twice...anyway it s the last chance for Valencia which should help the over also once the scoring is opened by any team (hopefully early)

Lazio -0.5i am not too confident here, as i am not sure what to do with Lazion, which is struggeling big time in Seria A. But Olympiakos is still a weak away team (the win at Bremen was handed to them by the goalie). The over might be another option as the greeks scores twice at Real and 3 times at Bremen (but than again that were the defenses of Real and Bremen...everybody scores there)

Donezk +0.5Donezk is a very solid team...not just a team from former russia like Kiev. if you look at their players it s a great and talented squad. They will qualify IMO and that starts with a draw today...home advanatge does not make Celtic a world-beater.

Milan pk,-0.5 and over 2,2.5Milan the much better team here and they should go for the win also. Besiktas already lost at home to Porto so they are also no gimmie at home against better teams. ACM is always able to score and if they put two in the net some sloppy defending play will give the over a great chance.

For Celtic this is live or die match, while for the Ukranian team there will be another match at home the last round to try and get things right,Some key player is missing on the Ukranian team today, other Ukranian fellows reporting the Ukranian team performance in recent games has been very poor as well as having some conflicts and low moral among some of the key players there now, would go for home win here mostly because of the Ukranians low spirit at the moment and the fact Celtic can't correct much next round at Milan if failing to deliver today.with their supporters pushing them at home expecting them to win today.

With you on Liverpool and Chelsea,GL today.

Bremen - Real over 2.5Bremen is a very strange situation and difficult to cap.Bremen is without Diego, Almeda, Frings and Borowski (late scratch today)...that s the whole midfield. Also their goalie is injured since yesterday and the reserve lost already the home game to olympiakos by himself...on the other hand real probably is happy with a draw. unless teams from england, italy or whereever who might go to Bremen and play for a win i think the coach Schuster, as a german, respects Bremen a lot and will probably not go with everything for a win. i though a lot about it and may add a side play later, but i like my theory that although everything points to Real, they might be satisfied with a draw.the over which is under normal circumstances the biggest play of the day might still be a good option but for different reason...Bremen needs this game and playing at home they will go on offense, even if they dont have their best players to do so. But that should give them a good chance to score at least a goal...(dont forget it s still Real S defense they are playing against)With the midfield sidelined that "offensive tactics" of Bremen will leave even more space for Real to exploit and score themselves. the goalie situation for Bremen might be worth another extra goal.if you compare the value and szenarios for the over and Real-side play (which most on here like): if you expect an easy Real win than they will score at least twice and only a 2-0 can make the over a looser (i ll take that risk). in any other case, basically that Bremen wins or is really competitve(which means they will score) the over is again a great bet...either way : they are only two score IMO that make the over a looser: a 1-1 draw or a 2-0 Real win

you are probably right. Donezk and Lazio are the wekest plays on my card anyway..it just seems to me that everybody makes celtic a real big play and i dont think the class difference (although your motivation factor is a strong reason) is so big. Probably the line is right at -0.5...i would just consider the celtic play a bit more dangerous than others here

I was looking at this game myself, what concerns me though is the weather situation. Could be snowing in Trondheim and cold temperatures. I feel this could give Rosenborg an advantage over Chelsea. What are your thoughts on this?

Great writeup chriscol, at first impression I am sold with you on Liverpool and Chelsea... Those 2 teams should win tonight, Liverpool since they have to, and are playing particularly good recently, and Chelsea just are no match for Rosenborg...

On the other hand, I am not completely confident about Schalke, they have not been particularly strong on the UCL, and going to Mestalla to face a Valencia team that is on a must-win game, I just don't know if it will hold up...However, your Over play here is pretty solid, as I believe both teams will score today.

Still thinking about Lazio, but don't know if I will pull the trigger

Will investigate further... But either way, great writeup and GL!!!

Not sure about the weather conditions if might effect Chelsea or not,but other point i had on mind is the fact Norway league over now for couple weeks already while Chelsea is approaching mid season and getting better,in light of that along with the fact Chelsea probably will try and erase the bad performance in 1st leg and being superior in terms of H2H comparing players in similar positions ,Chelsea should be able to win at least 1-0 here imho.

i played a similar situation yesterday against Moscow on won, where the season is also already over. not sure if this is a deciding factor but it s definetely not a plus for Trondheim

That is very true... When I saw that the pitch would be snowy, it made me a bit unsure... However, both teams will suffer from that... even if Rosenborg has played more in the snow.

In the end, after looking at every angle, I am going with the team with the more talent, and Chelsea has LOADS more talent than Rosenborg...

I think they can squeak a 1-0 win

here are now my plays with lines: it s a hugh card but i really like it

Liverpool -1 @ 1.87 !! 2 units!! and over 2,2.5 @1.85

Chelsea -0.5,-1 @ 1.91

Schalke +1,+0.5 @1.83 and over 2,2.5 @ 1.83 !! 2 units!!

i actually switched the big play to the total. the more i thought about it it looked better. Schalke would be in great shape if they get a draw here (than Valencia would stay behind and a win at home over trondheim would book the next round). they will not try to go for a 0-0 as this might be dangerous at Valencia, so there goal should be to score at least once. i also think (see my side play) that they are very capable of scoring especially away...they have always been a solid away team. Valencia on the other hand is playing at home and is desperate for a win. these are enough reason to expect a score from them too.
that s my perfect over situation: being confident that both teams scoring and than i dont care who scores twice..with the total at 2.25 it s even better.

Bremen - Real: over 2.5,3 @ 1.86

i really like that. i ll listen to the pre-game interviews with the Bremen coach if he is going to attack (which i think he will do, as the players never did something else at Bremen)..if so, i ll make it a 2 unit play. so comeback before kick-off to see.

Milan pk,-0.5 @1.92 and over 2 @ 1.75

Donezk +0.5 @2.06

Lazio -0.5 @1.87

BOL and see you before kickoff

bremen- Real over 2.5,3 @1.86 now !! 2 units!!

coach said, that "they have seen during the first match at Madrid that they have a chance when they play a brave style vs. Real"...also..."that for sure the fans will push them forward and the players know that"(and do that).
if they go forward there will be scoring

:nohead: some arguments if you are looking for arguments on Bremen: Real coach Schuster said, when asked what he remembers of Bremen from his past in germany: " i only remember that i always got a hard beating, when playing here"
Also Real has only one win in 21 games all time when playing away at Germany. :missingte
make your choice: a 2-2 would be nice
