going to post my early thoughts, pre-scratches from hollywood. hereby reserve the right to amend before post time tomorrow....
r2: meetmeatthegrill. think this son of storm boot is sitting on a huge one for marquez, who is having a tough meet thus far. levee town is strictly the one to beat, coming off a narrow loss vs. similar and gets a huge rider upgrade to mike smith and the addition of blinkers. with three races under his belt, he doesn't have nearly the upside of 'grill and the price should be right.
r7: royal robe. this is a very tough allowance as all the horses have a right to win here, but will back gonzo at a price with royal robe. 'robe was very game in victory last out and should get better with age, given his long-winded pedigree. he will surely be outsprinted early, but look for him to come flying down the stretch, trying to run down roll hennessy roll and king robyn.
r8: anthony eats. gets a monster rider upgrade from juan levya to tyler baze, who, despite my early reservations, has proven to be a quality rider. he appears to have a bright future on this circuit. look for 'eat to show much more speed with the blinkers on and this field looks very empty. gate to wire.
