had a pretty good day yesterday- if we can get some of the bigger prices home, we'll really start moving the needle on the ROI.
don't have scratches or the morning line, but here goes:
r3: latin devil. cardenas is a killer with firsters, and this is a long winded son of latin american, who did his best work routing. no matter, i'll take anything north of 7/2 and bet that 'devil can get out beat the only known commodity, argo.
r6: snapped up. dollase is on fire and he sends out this very precocious son of forest wildcat, who is on his way to great commercial success in the breeding shed. while there are a bunch of nicely bred horses in this maiden special, most look like they'll do their best running going a route or on turf (sires kingmambo, touch gold, thunder gulch, silver charm, grindstone, are all classic winners). look for snapped up to go gate to wire.
r8: bare necessities. sure adoration is the one to beat and there's not a whole lot of pace signed up, but 'necessities is a specialist at the distance and may just be hitting her best stride as a 4 and 5 year old given her breeding. she's been training well for dollase the elder and i think she'll give adoration all she can handle.
r9: ma fox. warren stute can train and he gets his fair share of debut winners. this daughter of gone west should take to turf and has been showing enough speed in her works to merit a look in here at a good mutuel.
