i'm from boston. big sox fan. and i think they blow. i think teams need to be recycled every few years. this one is getting long in the tooth for me. i'm tired of ortiz, varitek, etc...and i'm already getting tired of pedey. ellsbury is disgustingly overrated. i just don't enjoy watching them as much anymore. when drew becomes your favorite player because everyone else dislikes him, you know you have problems.

I lived in the Boston area my entire life up until a couple years ago and I'm a lifelong Sox fan. If you're jumping off the Ortiz and Varitek bandwagon (hence, forgetting everything they have done for the organization in the past) then that's your choice, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you're not a "Big" Sox fan if you're getting tired of players like Pedroia. That's just silly...

you know what, this entire forum is a fucking joke. how is my opinion on the organization worthy of a bunch of people coming back at me like i am not entitled to a view? i didn't attack anyone did i?. i merely stated my view on the organization and theo. there was nothing personal in my post about anyone here at all. i did not say anyone was "laughable" or "ridiculous" or say someone's opinion or stance was absurd. it was just an opinion that people can nicely disagree with if you feel like it. oh, and jibba, if you are such a goddamn expert, why don't you tell me the sox scouts that signed all those players? a bunch of them were built under the duquette regime and had nothing to do with epstein. dan madsen, rob english, jon booher, matt hass, ernie jacobs, danny haas, joe mason, gary rajsich. but i am sure you already knew that since you know so much. madsen and booher are theo guys and are responsible for masterson and pedey. the rest ARE ALL DUQUETTE/BRITTON guys and have been with the sox for years and had nothing to do with theo. ernie jacobs is a duquette guy and had freddy sanchez. matt haas is a duquette guy and he was on youk and bowden. jim robinson was buchholz AND A DUQUETTE guy. Gary Rajsich...Lester and WOW, A DUQUETTE guy. Joe Mason..Pap...AND A DUQUETTE guy. shut your goddamn mouth if you don't know what you are talking about. theo did not hire these guys or build these guys. i was stating an opinion about my feelings on the sox and said nothing negative towards anyone here at all and i get attacked about being laughable or ridiculous. and i'm from greenwich?? i'm second generation poor irish trash from east boston who moved to greenwich 6 months ago. seriously, get a clue if you are going to talk about theo or attack my opinions. i'm done posting or offending anyone. apparently when you put an opinion out there you are considered laughable or silly. as you can see, i think the scouts and duquette's old regime built this organization, not theo or anyone else. good luck to all of you and your betting.

The only point made was that if you are complaining about being a Red Sox fan right now, maybe you shouldnt have an interest in MLB at all because in comparison, Sox fans ahve a great situation. We are just grateful...I think statements like the one you made would offend fans of some other teams who would kill to have the franchise in the shape that the Sox are in.

Sorry it got you so upset but when you say something pretty outrageous and against public opinion, people disagree with you sometimes. Thats how the world works, deal with it without going on a rant. Besides, I dont think anyone is worrying about who should get credit for the signings/draftings. I thank Dan Duquette for what he did as well but Theo should get credit too. I'm more focused on the players on the field and if you cant appreciate these guys, then you probably should go watch another sport.

besides, hardly did anybody here "attack" you, we just disagreed wth your opinions in the same way that you clearly disagree with ours. Grow up and have a discussion if you want but dont get all offended anytime someone disagrees with you and have a hissy-fit.

I'm done with this though, good day to you sir. (<)<

regardless of which scouts fell under which "regime", those are some pretty good players you named...and they are all part of today's team (or pretty close). No one is insulting your opinions...just your reasoning. Like I said...just silly. :hitting:

Oh stop complaining mjm. You voiced your opinion and then others voiced opposing views. Stop playing the victim. This is a sports betting forum. Nobody expected you to be so sensitive.

You're doing quite the acrobatic performance trying to get around giving Theo credit for players drafted when he was the one with the final say. The problem is that you can't get around that fact. Theo was the individual with the final say and made the draft picks. You can talk about who hired the scouts all you want, but it doesn't change the facts.

Yeah, and next time I comment about the fact that you live in Yankee country, I'll be sure to get a background check on you.
