The last thing you want to do is lose money in the preseason but I hit my first two so I have a little cushion to play with.
Going with the Eags +1.5. This one's not for the squeamish as I expect the Saints to come out with a lot of enthusiasm in the Superdome. I noticed a lot of home teams won over the weekend. I also noticed that the defenses are ahead of the offenses early on, which is a bit of a cliche, but its true enough to make the oddsmakers set the point totals ultra-low.
The Saints are an offensive team. If they can't score they can't win. They'll be fine for the regular season but I expect a lack of timing and a thin playbook to hamper them in the practice games. I'd liken them to the Chiefs, who still haven't gotten into their offensive groove. The Eagles have their roster set for the most part and, unlike the Saints, their second and third stringers have been together for awhile.
Maybe the Saints will claim a moral victory, but after an initial Saints burst in the 1st quarter I'm looking for a methodical comeback victory for the Eags.
