Siena is a young team searching for an identity. Only 2 return from last years MAC regular season champions. Last years starting PG (Pickett was MAC MVP) is at PennSt and the SG is at East Tennessee. Both averaged double figures.Cupboard was left bare. Siena struggled to beat a D2 in exhibition game.
Yale has 10 returnees who withdrew from school last year (no Ivy season due to Covid) in order to retain 4 yr eligibility as Ivy doesn’t allow post grads to compete.
Don’t like to use comparative scores but Yale beat UMass by 20 who then beat Penn St by 25 while Siena was losing to #23 St.Bonnie’s by 28 and at home to Delaware by 20.
