Anyone play in one? I'm joining a 12 team dynasty league. Roster is:

Qb/2 RB/2 WR/TE/Flex/Super Flex/12 Bench/Taxi

I've never done one before. My initial thought is to go qb early grabbing 2 in the top 3. With rb and wr im thinking qb is more consistent year after year and those positions will be easier to filter.

Any thoughts or other strategies?

Maybe this will get Cruser off the car lot and he will chime in with his “expertise”.

Is this one of those leagues where you assign years to each player like contracts and do you draft shortly after the NFL draft?

It's a 5 year league and this is the inaugural draft. Way I understand it you keep the team you draft for the whole 5 years and there is an annual rookie draft.

The draft was split up into vets only and rookie draft. Vets draft is done. Overall i'm pretty happy with this team. Ended up drafting 10th and will be 3rd overall in the rookie draft. Zero QB was not my strategy. It just ended up that way. My WR's are going to good for all 5 years.

QB - Cam Newton
QB - Jameis Winston
QB - Tysom Hill
QB - Drew Lock
RB - Jonathan Taylor
RB - Alvin Kamara
RB - Tony Pollard
RB - Darrynton Evans
WR - Ceedee Lamb
WR - Jerry Jeudy
WR - Tee Higgins
WR - Brandon Aiyuk
WR - KJ Hamler
TE - Irv Smith Jr
TE - Evan Engram

For the rookie draft i'm trying to trade for another top 6. Something like Fields and Lance or 1 of them and Chase/Harris. Not sure which way to play that if I can find a taker.

Scratch that, I just noticed this was a Superflex league. I'd grab Mac Jones in the rookie draft, doubtful Cam is still there beyond this season.

I'd be a little concerned about your long term options at QB as Lock and Newton could both be backups in the near future, the Saints could decide Hill is best used in his previous role, and who knows what the Saints decide on Winston beyond next season. That could potentially really put you in a jam for 2022. I think these scenario's probably force you to take a QB at #3 in the rookie draft whether that's Fields or Jones.

Yea it's not ideal. None of the top tier qb's fell to me at 10 and it's a long turn back to the 3rd round. By then all of the 2nd tiers were gone. Could have reached for someone like Tannehill or Baker, not sure if that would have worked out better. I definitely have to hit on one my qb's or a rk. Lock was the worst starting qb in the league last season so not much hope there. And Cam has't had a good sesaon in more than just a few years.

You like Jones that much? I'm leaning towards Lance or Fields assuming Lawrence goes 1.
