Groningen continues to suffer from injury-problems with their strikers. Fiorentina is the better team in this match-up and they should be able to win this one with ease. One goal from Fiorentina basicly secures them a ticket for the next round against this weakened Groningen side.

It's short for Asian Handicap. It's comparable with the american ATS, but there are differences.

-0.5 is basicly the same as backing the team on the moneyline, but I found out that some bookmakers post different lines for the AH @ -0.5 and ML. I always check both to get the best odds.

yeah, I am familiar with it but failed to make the connection. Strangely, I have noticed that as well. Even at the same book, occassionally 5 dimes will have slightly different lines for -.5 and three way.

One more bet involving 2 european clubs. I will skip AZ today. They had a great run last year, but I just can't back this team on the road. The departure of Arveladze and Koevermans is a huge loss for this team and the home team is a complete dark horse.

I like the french here. French teams are getting stronger by the year and Rennes should be able to grab the win here. A 1-0 victory for the french is imo the most obvious outcome for this match, so I decided to place a small wager on the correct score aswell. Allez.
