At least a handful of people on the Hill don't have their heads shoved up their asses. Congressman Ron Paul recently re-introduced legislation to get the United States out of the UN (which no one will vote on, not even to vote against it, because they are all cowards) and Rep John Sweeney has introduced HR 1206 , which cuts funding to the UN and OECD if they attempt to introduce a tax on American citizens, as they have attempted to do in other countries.
The OECD is about a texbook example of over-funded, over-empowered bureacracy if there's ever been one. Considering that 25% of it's budget is already funded by the US, the idea that it would attempt to extend any further into the pocketboks of America is simply outrageous.
