I've played fantasy baseball the last couple of years but this particular custom points format is something new to me so I just wanted to get a few pointers on drafting. Let me give the setup for the league first. It's a 12 team Yahoo Points league and it will turn into a keeper league going forward so we'll keep 6 after the season.
Roster positions are C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UTIL, UTIL, 3 SP, 3 RP, 3 P, 5 bench spots, 4 DL, 4 NA for players in the minors.

The points for categories are...

Batters Stat:
Runs- 1 pt
Singles- 1 pt
Doubles- 2
Triples- 4
HR's- 5
RBI- 1
SB- 2
Walks- .75
K- -.75
Hit for cycle- 6

Pitchers:

IP- 1
W- 5
L- -3
CG- 5
SHO- 5
SV- 3.5
ER- -1
HR- -0.5
Walks- -0.5
K- 1
HLD- 1.5
No Hitter- 8
Perfect Game- 10

I'd normally draft hitting first and worry about pitching later but based on this scoring format it seems to favor pitching a lot more. So, should I maybe draft a high tier SP the first couple of rounds and maybe even a high tier closer the 3rd round and then draft a couple hitters next couple of rounds and work on P again after or what should the plan be going in?

Thanks for all the help!
