Spider Web, it's fairly useless trying to explain things to this little kid. He knows little about gambling and even less about actual baseball.
I've tried explaining to him several times that Smoltz is
still a pitcher who's trying to build up arm strength. (ie: timewise....he's still similar to a pitcher throwing in spring training.) The Red Sox know it....John Smoltz knows it....anyone who has a general understanding of baseball knows it.
Is Smoltz a good guy to bet on right now? ....Hell no. And for that, Captain Dipshit here is right.
He's definitely not a guy to wager money on right now, and seeing as he plays for the Red Sox he will almost always be a huge favorite, so you can definitely pick your spots to bet against him.
However to proclaim a guy is "done" based on what you see from him during his first month back from surgery....is showing that you don't really understand how things work.
It's also fairly easy to tell you don't understand what you're talking about when you say things like:
Cant even get it done vs the orioles
It shows you DO NOT understand basic concepts such as the Orioles have a very productive lineup, and that the reason their record is so bad is that their starting pitching and bullpen is so bad. You see bad record, and automatically presume they can't hit. When in reality they are one of the more potent lineups in the American League, they just have serious pitching problems.
Basically the more you talk, the more you give away that you truly don't understand what's going on.
So again....try to process some of this stuff, it will help you in the long run.
As far as betting against Smoltz, it's is a fine idea for now. Just make sure you re-evaluate every so often once he's had time to build up arm strength.
I ain't gonna reply to whatever doo doo you respond with, because really what's the point? You've shown lack of basic baseball knowledge, so really most of what's said is lost on you.
