Can you even quantify that statement. What exactly is he talking about? That's a blanket statement, that has no base in science. There's no evidence that illegal immigrants are more likely to commits crimes. Plus the impact on the economy has been a positive according to studies. As far as the Rape thing goes, it was lacking with credibility, I can show you a study that shows that college girls are even more likely to be raped. Did you go to college Enfuego?
Wasn't attacking your education, you're obviously educated. Just saying, according to a study on Rape, if you went to college and you are a male you are more likely to be rapist than an illegal immigrant. These studies are often very unscientific in my opinion. And as far as the study on rape that Trump was referring to, it was a study on central americans being raped in Mexico on the to the way to the US, not being raped, by illegal immigrants in or coming to the US.

He does on the economy IMO. When it comes to immigration, I don't think he has merit. I don't think he's a racist or anything, but I don't think that the majority of illegal immigrants are rapist and thugs, and I don't think that statement can be scientifically supported. I think he's tapping into some fears of our culture being under attack, and when it comes to immigration this is nothing new. The same was said about the Irish, Italians, and Jews when they were migrating here in waves in the 1800's.
He just means when you have weak border security that there is a strong potential for criminals to come across. They can be any race or ethnicity.
Open borders with a 3rd world country is beyond utopia.
Let mexicans/central americans come to this country through legal channels. Is that harsh? Sure but if we can take someone with an engineering degree and leave someone with a criminal record in Mexico then it is going to benefit us.
50/50 jeez man.....I mean less than 10% are probably "bad people" but that is still a huge % when you consider we probably have close to 20M illegals here.
Then there is the issue of self-sufficiency, if you're coming here straight out of poverty with no skillset then it is easier to turn to crime (crime is a socioeconomic issue above all else)

Not 1/2 of the 20 million illegals we've had come here. Also we have something like 45-50 million legal Mexicans in this country, some were born here, some came over. If it was close to 50/50 we would literally be Mexico north at this point. That is a huge #.
A lot of them just come here. Work in industry like agribusiness, hospitality, construction and live like normal Americans. A lot don't though and that is what Trump is saying, we really have no reason to be taking on other countries problems. S
I don't think half of the 11 million that are here are criminals. The majority of illegal immigrants in America are actually here on expired visas, and not even border crossing related. You're right on that the criminal element coming over here is due to the drug trade, building walls won't stop the demand or keep drugs out. We can't even keep drugs out of our prisons.
