I bought a used pickup with one of those tonneau cover thingees. I have it backed up in my parking spot very near my front door (condo).

I no longer take my trash and empty deposit bottles and cans the 300' to the dumpster, I open the tailgate, and put it in the truck bed, when there's enough I stop at the dumpster, or if I plan to move something, otherwise I don't care if there is trash in the bed, under the tarp thing !

It's not like it's summer and the trash is fermenting, plus it's hidden from view !

The extra weight also can't hurt in snow.

Am I an honorary Mexican ?

I would have preferred a toolbox (diamond plate steel pattern), but the cover thingee is removable easily enough. I don't like that cover already, too many snaps and shit to put it back in place, once you remove it to use the bed.

I give that bed bedcover thing a week before I put it in the basement forever.
