Does stock analysis matters?

I'm sure most of us invest on stocks. But do you even bother to do in-depth analysis like annual/qtr earnings, chart etc ?

Yes, you have to do serious analysis if you are buying a company. Whether it's fundamental or technical or both it is absolutely necessary to be successful.

I agree.

Why wouldnt you? The info is there available to you.More information can never hurt your chances of making a buck.

I compare it to gambling/capping using both trends (tech) and statisitics (fundmental).Both really required to be accurately predicting outcomes IMO.

Did you have another way?? From what I know that is the only way. I guess you could pick your stocks by having a monkey throw darts at the ones you are thinking about buying.

You don't need to do all that "book learning" to buy stocks. Here is what my grandpa and myself have made very nice gains over the years following this simple method of buying stocks.

When everyone is selling...buy it. Also one of the best things to do is look at what stocks got crushed at the end of the year and buy them. For example I think that Yahoo is going to have a great 2007.
