I don't know of any tech companies that have experience in mining metals.
Without knowing the symbol my guess would be that your company was bought in bankrupcy by a firm trying to cash in on the current runnup in metals in order to get listed without having to go through all of the hassles. They may have a claim on some played out mines but they will be making money by manipulating their POS stock value... Sorry. I could be wrong but I see these things every year...
