Heat/Mavs UNDER
Mavs
I think the Miami Heat now realize the Mavs are not the Bulls, Nets or Pistons. They are better than that. A lot better. Let me take you back to the Bulls series when the Bulls just blew by the Heat defenders on the perimeter for easy basket after easy basket. You can call me crazy but in my opinion the Bulls win that series if Tyson Chandler does not get hurt. The Bulls were the quicker team but had nobody to handle Shaq. The Nets were a running team that was terrible in the halfcourt set, which means the Heat didn't really need to defend. The Pistons are one dimensional and the Heat were able to make them a jump shooting team which was the Pistons downfall. You add the strengths of those 3 teams and ladies and gentleman, you have the Dallas Mavs. I said the key to this series was the benches. Game one the Mavs outscored the Heat 24-2. Let me give you the reality of this series in a nut shell. Dallas is too quick and too fast for the Heat and you can give Pat Riley a year to prepare and one thing is for sure, the Heat can't get faster and they can't get quicker, not with the personnel they have on their roster and you can't trust them at the free throw line down the stretch. Another amazing thing about game one was the fact that not only did the Mavs play terrible, but Dirk and Howard had terrible games as well and the Mavs still won by 10. People, the Heat are done. It is just a matter of how many games. You can buy into the Pat Riley hype, the Shaq hype, the Wade hype, but the again, the fact of the matter is this. Dallas has beaten this team 3 straight by double digits for a reason. They are faster, quicker, deeper. You saw it in game one right before your eyes. As in game one, there is not one single ounce of doubt in my mind the Mavs are the right side of this game tonight. I took the Mavs to the bank in game one and I will take them to the bank in game two. You should take them to the bank as well. Mavs roll by double digits again in game two tonight.
UNDER
Under is the play again tonight. I firmly believe the Mavs and Heat match up well on the defensive side of the ball and you saw exactly that for the last 3 quarters of game one. The only reason you had a high scoring first quarter was the fact the Heat shot 70 percent. After that, defense was the key for both teams. Like I said in before game one right here, if the Mavs can hold one of the highest scoring teams down the way they did as 4 of those 6 games in that series went under, they can hold down the Heat as well. As for Miami, not only did all 6 games versus the Pistons go Under but it is 7 in a row after game one. I will ride that trend tonight and call for the Heat to play their 8th straight Under tonight. My totals have been on fire because I have been consistent on going against the obvious, which has worked to the tune of 11 of my last 12 including 5 in a row right here in the paid section. I am riding the Under here in game two as these two get physical and the play is rough in a very important game. UNDER is my play in game two.
