Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Doc's Sports : Take UNDER 7.0 Miami at San Francisco (10 p.m., Thursday, May 15) The Miami Marlins are off to a nice start this season through the first 40 games. But one thing is for certain, and that is Marlins aren’t the same team on the road as they are at home. The Marlins are 17-5 at home versus just 3-15 on the road, and one of the biggest reasons is that they don’t hit as well outside of their comfort zone. At home the Marlins are averaging a robust 5.7 runs per game, but on the road it dips down to a paltry 2.7. They’ll be on the road in San Francisco for this one against right-hander Matt Cain. He isn’t the same pitcher he was a few years ago, but I trust Cain enough to keep Miami from exploding offensively. Nathan Eovaldi goes for the Marlins, and he’s been fantastic in eight starts in 2014. Eovaldi holds a 2.86 ERA and 1.11 WHIP and has an excellent 48-10 K/BB ratio. The Giants are a tough lineup to navigate, but they’ve struggled against right-handers this season with a .229 batting average. Runs will hard to come by here, and we like the under as a result. Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Indian Cowboy : Take OVER San Diego vs. Colorado (8 p.m., Friday, May 16) It seems whenever Eric Stults puts together a quality start that his next effort is usually lacking. Stults gave up 2 runs in 6 innings to Miami in his last effort, and his Padres ended up winning 9-3 in the process, but prior to that he had given up 10 runs in 2 innings. And now you are asking the San Diego Padres pitcher, who pitches in a pitcher's ballpark, to go on the road on a Friday Night to hold his own as he comes off a quality start, which is difficult to do. Combine that with De LaRosa coming off 3 straight quality starts as he is likely to have a letdown here against a Padre team that is familiar with him from a start earlier this year and an opportunistic offense in San Diego in a hitter's ballpark and it makes for two teams that might break out for plenty of offense Friday Night at Coors. Look for Colorado and San Diego to both have success with pitchers in letdown spots and both teams hitters to have a great opportunity to step up for plenty of runs Friday Evening.

Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Jason Sharpe: Take #911 Los Angeles Dodgers (-125) over Arizona (9:40 p.m., Friday, May 16) No pitcher in MLB is more consistent than Zack Greinke. It’s been over 20 straight starts since he’s allowed over two earned runs in a single outing. After getting off to a rougher-than-expected start last year, some things clicked, and things really took off from there for the veteran right-hander. He went onto to post an ERA below 2.00 the rest of the season and a strikeout-to-walk ratio above 5 to 1. We are seeing the exact same thing again this year as well with 55 strikeouts to only 10 walks and an ERA of just 2.38 to go with a 6-1 record.

Arizona is playing much better of late, but they started the season off playing awful baseball, and a lot of that came from losing to these Dodgers. The Diamondbacks are 1-7 against the Dodgers thus far and are also an ugly 4-16 at home this season. They have faced off versus Greinke twice this season, and he has a 1.59 ERA against them with an 8 to 1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Take Los Angeles here.

Free MLB Baseball Prediction From Allen Eastman : Take Oakland over Cleveland (7 p.m., Friday, May 16) It looks like the matchup is set to be Scott Kazmir against Josh Tomlin. I give the big edge to Kazmir and the A’s. Kazmir looks like the former top prospect he was with the Mets and early with the Rays. He has 42 strikeouts and a 2.28 ERA in his eight starts this year and has been sharp in every one. That includes seven shutout innings against Washington last week. Tomlin has been sharp in his two starts. But his last time in the Majors as a regular starter was in 2012, and he had a 6.36 ERA that year. I think this A’s team will hit him hard, which is an excellent 13-6 on the road this year. The A's have been one of the best bets in baseball this season. I think they are going to keep it going on the road. Hit this winner on Friday and then follow it up with my 5-Unit MLB Game of the Week winner on Saturday, which is a matchup I like even better than this.

Free Boxing Prediction From Raphael Esparza : Take Juan Manuel Marquez (-240) over Mike Alvarado (9 p.m., Saturday, May 17) This is the WBO Welterweight Eliminator event on Saturday. Marquez will be looking to erase a bad showing in his last fight against Timothy Bradley. Never count out Marquez, and his heart in the ring is one of the best. I see him taking it to Mike Alvarado early and often. This fight also goes the distance, and if you can get that prop I would bet it as both fighters will be looking to avoid the KO.
