He and 2 others have a site that was posting plays all season and did pretty well now they want $60/ month for their picks. They have many of their patrons insensed over it, hard to believe Ace has become a scum bag Tout, really taking a beating over at Covers as well is Ace and Sharp Plays. Cash:suomi: Don't ever get sucked in by these people, they are legal crooks!

i'm familiar with sharp plays. they basically ride money moves. they posted at covers, then moved to another site where they are now charging. they claim a winning record but only the last few weeks are documented. and over that time, they have a losing record. i wouldn't call them "sharp plays". they're pretty much "public plays" as a closer look reveals they clearly can't tell the difference between sharp moves and public moves. they would be a great fade for pops and people who want to fade line chasers.

I don't share your beliefs about all touts like you do though. hey...it's america. Everyone should have an opportunity to make $$. I, for example, used to provide info for $$. I don't do it anymore but I'm not sure I think of myself as a scum bag for doing so. I now purchase info for $$ from a few services. look at it this way...i pay $$ to pay for internet access, to pay for cable tv and to pay for newspaper subscriptions. And I pay $$ to services who give me info in a way i can use that i don't have the time to get myself. I'm paying for the convenient delivery of the info. You may consider these services to be touts, but I look at them differently. The problem is that most services/touts/players in this business provide PICKS without information or analysis. and picks, by themselves without any info, have zero value to me.

So I agree with you that a tout who provides just picks should not charge...because they aren't providing any value other than their opinion...and opinions have very little value because everyone has those and they are easily exchanged on forums like this.

I have to agree with Coast2Coast. Just because one sells plays does not make one the devil. I have a service i use every year in college hoops. He has paid off really big. 20 x the investment. I use a number of methods to decide my plays. When I have time I handicap some games myself, I follow some people in this forum and others, I research stat sites, and as mentioned above, I use some service plays. I think a smart better should use all of the resources avaialable.

With that said, if you ask me "are most touts scumbags", I would give a resounding yes. The real problem is finding a service that is sharp, honest and not out to rip you off. There are even some touts with really questionable marketing tacticts, who actually give out some good picks. Touts have a bad rep but rightfully so, just because so many of them are crooks. But to say that anyone who sells picks is a scumbag is going too far.

Like C2C says, people sell information all the time. There's a fee to subcribe to Statfox and Don Best.

Are you talking about Ace-Ace or are you talking about the ace?

Just trying to figure out which one you are talking about.

Coast: I stand corrected and apologize, paying for info is one thing but when a said gambler starts selling what I call someone elses picks for $$ I have a problem with that and history tells what kind of people do that:monsters- Also this person Ace was showing up on other sites telling how it was a free site check it out then 10 days later oh by the way starting 3/4/05 it's 60/ month. Hey they can do what they want I do not and never will have any respect for Touts, I have been aound this game for many yrs and I can tell ya the Touts tend to be very crooked, they prey on people whom may have a problem not only picking winners , but paying their bills. The site I am speaking of is ***** they are getting bad press on many forums today and it is very deserved. Cash:suomi:

I think he posts as: acebb.

That {acebb} stands for ace bad boy, as in...

Bad boys, bad boys, what'cha gonna do, what'cha gonna do
when they come for you.

Bad boys, bad boys, what'cha gonna do, what'cha gonna do
to make her come for you.

Bad girl, bad girl, what'cha gonna do, what'cha gonna do
to make me come on you.

In response to the questions about info I purchase....I purchase info from three places....1) the letitridesports.com/statfox sites are valuable for fundamental capping and statistical info on every game you can't find any other place in such an easy-to-use format; 2) the sports insights system is very valuable for showing money moves at the five major offshore casinos. It helps show the volume and % on each side. Both of those sites have quite a bit of free info, but I also pay for the more complete info . 3) i also purchased a season package from one "tout" service...fixerwins.com. Their picks/plays overall in college hoops not been great this season and if you only looked at their record you'd say "ho hum". However, I lsubscribe to them for the info, not the picks. I like the way they break down games and the quantity and quality of info you get with each pick. Each pick is accompanied by statistical, situational and technical capping info. I don't follow their picks necessarily and in fact even fade them on occasion, but I do value the fact that they provide a great deal of information with each pick. I find the information useful because I no longer have the time to break down every game on the card like I used to do. They approach things much the same way as I do, so I appreciate the homework they provide with their picks. When I like a game based on my cursory analysis and they do also by breaking it down in detail, it more often than not is a winning combination.
