I once booked a tennis pro. Week in and week out, the guy usually lost a dime. I booked him for over a year. and he averaged a dime a week even though he did win sometimes... He always paid eevrytime he owed. One day I went to collect and it was around $3,000. He came up to my car, and had an unusual look on his face. He apologized and told me all he had was $800. He then told me that he had lost his life savings to me and a few other outs. He told me his wife just left him and took their ten year old son. Now I've heard everything and sometimes its true. This guy was telling the truth. I told him to keep the $800, forget the $3,000 for now. I asked him is all this worth losing his family? He said he was devasted by what happened. So I told him to make his choice. If he chose his family then he could completely forget the $3K and I would be checking on him. I went to see him a few weeks later and he told me that he was seeing his wife again but she still ahdn't moved back in. He also told me he wasn't betting. About a month later I called again. He had gotten back together with his wife and kid and he was very, very happy. He kept telling me he was going to pay me and I told him he paid us all by putting his family first. I checked on him two or three more times over the next several months and all was ok. I never collecetd the end, I never took another bet from him and I never would... Point is there are exceptions who put life before money, family before money, the right thing before money. This is only one such story in my past and I know that I'd go sell used cars before I would compromise what is right for something as transparent as money. I can't take a dime with me but good expeeriences where people are helped are forever in the hearts of all involved. No money equals that...
