Gentlemen,
Welcome to the DNI Mourinho NHL thread. It seemed best to consolidate my picks and analysis and advice in this one season-long thread in order to better keep track of plays, wagers, and overall record for the season (and through the playoffs).
The purpose of this thread is four-fold:
1. To assist others in earning money in NHL Plays.
2. To keep track of my NHL record and plays, along with using this as a baseline for future NHL seasons to illustrate validity of my picks and methods.
3. To serve as a place to record my thoughts, upcoming analysis for games, all at one convenient place so I'm able to execute wagers much more easily and quickly before puck drop.
4. To facilitate positive analysis and feedback from the forum members regarding NHL.
So, a little background about me.
I enjoy wagering as a professional, on two sports in particular. Futbol (soccer) and NHL. I enjoy the futbol aspect the most, especially because it is a year long sport which allows one to earn money around the year rather than wait for a particular season. With NHL, I grew up playing hockey since I was two years old, and rose through the ranks of the USA Hockey Program, and participated in some of the highest levels in the United States.
One could say that although futbol is my favorite sport, ice hockey has been in my blood for life.
In regards to NHL, I consider myself a specialist in reverse puckline plays, so to speak. This means typically I find value in parlaying 2-4 teams in a +1.5 puckline, and typically parlay them to have a return between + money and - 150.
I will try to answer some brief questions before we get started:
What is your standard wager, unit size?
My standard play varies from about $750.00 - $1,500 a play, depending on my instinct for risk and the type of odds that I'm paid out. You will find that I will be willing to risk a higher amount on a -150 price that I find extremely strong, and risk less for around + or EV money wagers. Typically, I would say that my plays will fall between -110 through -150.
How long have I been wagering on NHL?
I've been at this for 9 years.
Weekdays v. Weekends
I am much more of an active poster on the weekdays, because I'm usually at my computer the majority of the day, which allows me to post better statistics and analysis. On the weekends, I'm on a mobile phone much more, so there's almost no 'write-ups' and just picks posted, which makes it much more difficult on mobile to post in depth discussion and train of thought.
Please explain the name DNI Mourinho?
As my larger area of profitability has been soccer, I have attempted the best I could to emulate Jose Mourinho, who is a master in pragmatical approaches and results which win. I've adopted his surname because I identify with him and his mentality, one which I utilize in my wagering approaches.
If you have any particular questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Sincerely,
DNI Mourinho
