It might not seem fair, but the entire system is rigged and inherently unfair to the poor. I guess we should just let them starve to death. I know that's what the original Native American societies would do.

its rigged in favor of the very rich and the poor
let them get a job or starve i dont give a shit
stop gauging people in taxes and charities will have a lot more money
there are a lot of good charities out there that are way more efficient than the govt

basically everyones attitude has become if someone else pays for me im happy
gee i wonder why the economy is in the shitter

There's plenty of people living in poverty that HAVE jobs. Fuck, they got 2 or three jobs and a bunch of kids they can barely feed let alone put through college.

One of the unfairest parts of the income tax is that it punishes people for being single.

Reagan's "trickle down" never worked. The best economy we have had was after Clinton increased the wealthy's tax so Dubya goes to war and cuts taxes to the wealthy and look at the mess we are in.

If you can put money in the hands of the poor, they spend it and create a better business atmosphere.

Expenditures by employers are already tax deductions so raising the tax on the wealthy does not remove money for entrapanural activity. It is a red herring used by the repugs.

This is nothing more than the Great Society II and it will perform the same destruction to poor people and to the economy.

Transfer payments do nothing positive for anyone. As a matter of fact, giving money to people who didn't earn it is more destructive to that person and his or her family than subsistance living could ever be.

If they decide to give everyone a job, I'm for it - otherwise, count me out

BB, somebody has to pay for wars and other progams. The rich are the only ones with any money. Of course you can do as repugs love and pass it on to future generations but that is out of hand. The interest is now a huge expense.

What's going to happen when the US can't afford to pay the interest on it's debt? Borrow more money? Down the barrel of a gun?

Simple solution, don't have babies. If you already have babies and can't feed them let the state take custody and find a home where they can be taken care of properly. If they can't afford college go out and get a college loan.

You don't have to pay for college in GA if you have over a 3.0 coming out of high school. ITS FREE, Hope Scholarship paid for by the GA Lottery. All you have to do maintain a 3.0 in college. Its damn near impossible not to have a 3.0 in high school

You are aware that Wal Mart and others are using mostly part time workers so to avoid benefits.

Makes it possible and even necessary to have more than one job.

Being poor sucks but the Repugs want to shower all benefits on the rich.

This be very true indeed. I have a sister that worked at Wal-Mart, they use these folks like toilet paper.
