Disconnect Protection

I was reading one Finnish poker forum and one Finnish guy was really pissed off, because some player was using this DP-rule as his advantage couple times at PartyPoker.

I didn't had a clue about this kind of sick rule until today. For those who don't know, DP-rule enables player to go showdown without paying.

This is what happened

Finn had 6-6
DP-dude K-K

DP-dude raises 5
Finn calls

The Flop 6-8-9

DP-dude raises 10
Finn re-raises 35

Then DP-dude switch off modem or something and this DP-rule enables to go showdown without call. Because river was K, he also won the pot.

Second time this Finn tried to bluff and again, disconnetion, and again this DP-dude won with a small pair.

Another poster answered to topic this Finn started and wrote "I spend everyday my two DP's. I will use all advantage can get". So it seems like there are many players using this crap.

This kind of system sucks really badly and I would like to know which sites have this rule? I will never deposit any money to books with this rule.

People do take advantage of DP. And at party poker if they do it enough they lose the privilege. And party poker just added new tables for players who dont want to play with DP.

If you are that against it i am sure that some si tes dont use this feature

old news actually but the guy doing it twice a day everyday wont last long..they'll boot him soon.

most sites now give you the choice of playing with or without this all in protection....try poker stars "no all in" tables.
