The Red Wings will be playing the second leg of back-to-backs tonight after they defeated the lowly Canadiens, 4-3, in overtime last night in Montreal. Now they will have to take the ice against a slumping Islanders team and do it with their backup goalie, Magnus Hellberg.
New York has dropped their last 6 contests so my pick is certainly not an endorsement of the Islanders but a fade against the Red Wings. No team loses forever and Detroit will be hard-pressed to skate away a winner tonight after emptying their gas tank 24 hours ago in a game that took an extra session to complete.
