YTD 1-1

Last week I was on Denver which had done no game planning in the preseason (making them look terrible) and had been looking all along to its opener with KC. Despite some incredibe bonehead plays by Jake Plummer, Denver got the win and cover to start the season off right. Now, Denver travels to Jacksonville for its home opener and will face a huge step up in defense from KC's.

This game should be low scoring as both teams have good defensive units. The difference however, is Jacksonville's defense is better than Denver's and Plummer will struggle big time today. I know, Leftwich is no box of chocolates for Jacksonville. It's true, but he played poorly last week and is now at home with the opportunity to go 2-0, which this team hasn't done in awhile. Given the choice between Plummer or Leftwich, I'll take Leftwich any day. Every damn game you can count on Plummer to make a couple terrible decisions. Denver was able to overcome them last week against a porous KC defense. Not today. Plummer's mistakes will cost his team and Griffin will see nowhere near the kind of success he had running the ball against KC.

Jacksonville -3 is the play.

Understood. I live in Denver and while not a season ticket holder, the media here simply buries the public with Broncos coverage. This play is not so much a play on Jacksonville as it is a play against Denver. Denver will lose this game.

This one was too tough to cap so I did my best. What if both defenses completetly shut out both ofenses. The game will come down to a trick play, terrible officiating(e.g. denver last week), special teams scores or defensive scores. I am neutral on the game. Denver could win or Jacksonville could win, or it could be a tie.
