it makes zero sense.....what are they so scared of??? the people can lose everything in the blink of the eye in a million different ways...like adding another is going to tip the scales. the nfl's revenue will increase...if i was them i would tell the casino's they will help with marketing for a slice of the pie....the government will tax the shit out of everyone involved top to bottom....ALL PARTIES INVOLVED will make a killing off this...theres something more to this....whos to say there isnt money being funneled from vegas into washington or the NFL behind the scenes? something is preventing this from happening. why are they so scared of this?

When the sports betting ban was jammed through congress years ago there were very few casinos in this country. I believe just Atlantic City. New Jersey was in a bad spot because of all the professional sports teams in the Meadowlands. Bill Bradley wielded his influence and slam dunked sports betting out of existence except for Nevada.
The NFL has grown to where several teams are worth a billion dollars. It is a basically a multi-billion dollar monopoly with the ability to offer money and jobs to ever influential politician and judge in this country. You don't have to offer a third circuit court judge a bribe. You just let him know that he has high six figure job waiting for him when his term is over. What is the most important day on the calendar, Superbowl Sunday.

This ruling makes me feel similiar to that of a death in my family. Never before, had I looked so much forward to finally having a place that I really wanted to move to. Even if, I didn't move, it's only a bit over a 3 hour drive to Dover, Del. (I have been looking forward to this like a child does a birthday or similiar.)

still makes no sense when u can bet in Vegas......all the things they fear have NOT come to fruitiion due to gambling in Vegas, so their arguments are mute....
The NFL would not be nearly as popular without gambling, and although it would still make money, it wouldnt prosper as freely as it is now....and you KNOW that the owners and reps know this, so it really gets old when they keep fighting us at every turn.....
and as many have said, all this is done by states where casinos are on every corner, and state runs the lotteries, the biggest ripoff of all...
