so i meet this really cute girl out last night... things are going really good... then she tells me she is separated and is in the process of getting a divorce... i did however get her number... so do i call her and ask her out? or would that frowned upon???

Me and My Ex were separated for two years before the divorce was official.

In Canada you have to be separated for a full year before the Divorce can be put through, we avoided the lawyers and worked out the deals ourselves so that took the extra time.

I'm sure it's fine other than the emotional baggage that comes from a divorce.
