a close of 1.08. a little disappointing, seeing how it spiked from 1.10 to 1.28 in a 30 minute span in the middle of the day. traded close to 300,000 shares during that bout, accounting for more than 75% of its volume on the day. i'll take it though, since it was trading at .81 on tuesday morning.
feel really good heading into next week, although my new strategy of buying and holding doesn't seem to be working as well as trading in and out of stocks on the rise. the month is still early though.

i may double my position as soon as the market opens, depending on where it opens. continuing the cpp trials is huge news for these guys. they plummeted from 2.25 to .90 at the end of may when they announced nothing positive from cpp and they were going to stop the trials to evaluate. on top of getting exclusive worldwide marketing rights from Northwestern University for vigabatrin, i'm thinking this thing will see $2.50 in short order.

glad to hear it. patron one of my favorites. when he loses, if you look at his website the next day, he let's you know he lost....as far as basketball, i couldn't really tell you. i do fairly well in the nba myself after about 20-30 games into the season when i get a good number of stats to go off of. i'm sure someone could point you in the right direction though.
well....doubled my position at the open this morning, 3,000 more shares at 1.14, rode it all the way to 1.74, and like a dumbass held too long. ended up exiting at 1.28. fuck it. about a $400 one day gain on the 2nd batch of shares, about a $300 gain on the shares i've been holding for a month. obviously, i got greedy today, kept expecting another run after the first pull back, but it never came.
not really sure how positive the recent news for this company is once i took a closer look at it. i do think it's worth keeping an eye on though. solid support all day long at 1.16. if it falls back below a $1, next good support doesn't come until .80

i may get back on cprx, but if i do it'll be for a very short term play. i took a look at the other stocks that gained 20% or more today, and one thing they all had in common was they rocketed at the open and then never recovered from the pull back. i'm not sure how much the broader market had to do with it.
keep an eye on BIOF, they gained a 100% before pulling back as they neared their one year high. they just announced some restructuring of debt and are in the ethanol business.
since i got stuck with cprx for a month i haven't really been doing any research. i'm going back to my old strategy of buying into the rallies and selling on the pullbacks. fuck this holding for a month and feeling like i'm making money when i get back to even. i should have a watch list for october put together by the end of the weekend.

cprx doing a common stock sale to institutional investors to raise cash.....3.97 million shares at $1 per....sale to take place on the 6th.....no wonder it continued to drop in AH.....
