I'm a bit of a foodie so I enjoyed watching her on Chopped(Food Network)

Always seemed to be "Maryannish" during interviews and one of those America's sweethearts.

Got busted with weed a little while back, nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Thought that was funny seeing her mug shot in her 70's .

Guess Tina Louise is the only one left

and she still looks good

The Ginger or MaryAnn question has been around since I saw a kid

RIP Dawn Wells

MaryAnn for me. I had to wiki that and was surprised to see that the series only ran 3 seasons before it got canceled.

"It aired for three seasons on the CBS network from September 26, 1964, to April 17, 1967"

MaryAnn, Ginger and Julie Newmar as CatWoman on the old Batman show were some great sights on my tv when I was just a wee lad.

I know I know right...what is one more schmuck saying this, but: SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL

and I was a child watching this show... Sort of like "I Dream of Jeannie" I was a child and watched these women.... WOW...they were 1) nice 2) intelligent 3) beautiful and it wasn't until later years that I realized how amazingly beautiful they were/are/were/are.

Television re-runs and movie re-runs are a bit depressing as we get into 80 years of film or so...... 100 years of film or so... We end up watching ghosts and knowing it. Just 20 years ago, you could say, "Oh he was great in that movie...he's getting on in years" or "The other actor passed away but she was great in this...."

No, I do believe this may play a big factor in our collective (meme) psyche: We are watching ghosts just as real as can be when we watch our favorite old shows and movies. It bothers me, if none of you. And I'm fairly stable...most of the time. It's almost better if these people's skills and beauties were stories told around a fire with some degree of separation than true to life visions we can watch on and on and on knowing they are broken and corrupt bodies now....

Yikes. This got dark on me, quick: Maybe nobody knows what I'm saying... It's just when I was a kid and watched "I Love Lucy" reruns they were funny and bright and most of the cast (not all) were still 'people'. Now, I watch a bit of a beloved "I Love Lucy" episode and they are all ghosts. ALL of them...ghosts on film.

Let me super summarize: I think I would rather hear you say, "sit down and I'll tell you about this amazing red-head actress back in the early '50's who had a skit where she ate all the chocolates coming down a conveyor belt rather than screw up her quality control job...a new job she had just obtained. It went like this...."

RATHER than watch her antics knowing I'm watching ghosts.

Oh my goodness. I may have some slight problems.
