In his disastrous interview with Bret Baier this week, Donald Trump offered up a pathetically lame excuse as to why his favorite child Ivanka will not be a part of his campaign or a potential future administration. Instead of saying that Ivanka made it clear that she wants to focus on her family, Trump lied and said that it was just "too painful" for his children to be put the ringer as they were, even though they all profited heavily from his time in office. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's really happening.

During his interview with Brett Bayer, earlier this week, Donald Trump talked about the fact that Ivanka and pretty much all of his other kids, but he only focused on Ivanka because that's obviously his favorite kid, said that none of them are gonna be involved in his, uh, future presidential, you know, administration cuz he's still super confident that it's totally gonna happen. But either way, the kids are out of it. He says because he Trump told them, he said, it's too painful for you guys. I'm not gonna do that to you. I'm a good dad. Such a good dad. By the way, that Ivanka didn't even wish him Happy Father's Day this past weekend. But here is what Trump said about his kids, specifically Ivanka, the only one he cares about being a part of his next administration. I said, that's enough for the family. You know why it's too painful for the family. Nobody has been through what my family has been through when I did this. She was really, she closed it up. She sort of, she sort of felt she had to, I'm talking about Ivanka closing down her business, which by the way, she didn't even do to like halfway through 2018 after she had already been granted a bunch of trademarks from China due to the fact that she was a part of your administration, you left that part out. Right? You also left out the fact that Jared Kushner got that 2 billion from the Saudis right after your administration came to a close, you know, and his main job while he was in your administration was going over there in sweet talking Saudi Arabia. Either way Trump's lying. You know how I know he is lying? Because Ivanka already told us over a year ago exactly why she would not be involved ever again in the political world. Ivanka told us last year that she didn't plan to be involved in her father's 2024 presidential bid or politics and would instead focus on her family. She wanted to raise her kids, she's got young kids, makes total sense. But Donald Trump, when asked about it, is pathologically incapable of telling the truth. So he lies, he makes it up. He says, I told them no because it's too painful for you. He could have just said, listen, Ivanka had her taste of it. It wasn't her thing. She's got small kids, wants to focus more time on them and you know, just have a relaxing life. So hey, that's what she's gonna do. But instead Trump made them out to be the victims because that's all he knows. He knows that victim mentality instead of telling us the truth that, ah, she don't want to do it. She wants to, uh, you know, be, be a mom and raise the kids. There's nothing wrong with that, by the way. But instead of telling us the truth, he has to say they were treated so poorly. It was so painful for them that I just couldn't bear to do it. And being the merciful father that I am, I released her from servitude and said, Go, go my Ivanka, raise the kids deal with that weird looking husband of yours. And that's what I did. Now he made it all about himself. He lied to everybody, and I'm sure most people forgot that last year. Ivanka was like, yeah, I don't want anything to do with it. We know why. And it has nothing to do with any of the crap that Trump told Brett Bear this week.
