I need to get to sleep earlier.
4 units:
New Mexico State ML (-140)...This team is finally at full strength and should have a significant advantage inside with the addition of Pope to the lineup. Playing with loads of confidence after the Utah State victory, they are deeper and more talented than Hawaii. The Warriors suffer from lapses defensively and don't match up well on the glass vs. the Aggies. Feel the Utah State was a springboard for this team.
2 units:
Northern Arizona ML (-125)...They rebounded from their loss last time by coming strong at home and with a renewed sense of purpose, and I believe they'll be prepared for this one, a huge road conference game that they need to remain atop their conference. Already beaten Northern Colorado once and they do the little things on the road that help take victories, namely free throw shooting and rebounding. They have the inside players to give Northern Colorado fits and Landry is playing his best basketball of the season. NOC doesn't take care of the ball and you can't afford to give a team like the Lumberjacks more chances offensively, they're too good for that.
ML Parlay (-135):
UCLA
UW-Milwaukee
UCLA: Great home team that's getting healthy, facing an ASU squad that's still very green, especially traveling away from home. Their bigs are able to be out-muscled inside and Harden will have to face multiple guys coming in to wear him down. UCLA's depth and their ability to just plain stop scorers could serve them well here, and ASU's perimeter defense is lackluster to begin with, but facing Collison after a huge outburst could spell trouble.
UW-Milwaukee: Been trying to fade them but Jeter has done an unbelievable job with this group, they do everything necessary to win as a team - shoot from the line, rebound, rebound, rebound, and play selflessly. Everyone has bought into these concepts and that allows them to travel and compete on the road. Detroit still winless since late November and nothing comes easy for them on offense, even Goode has to work for his shots. As with Wright State, just don't think Detroit has enough firepower or the manpower to hang with the Panthers for 40 minutes.
ML Parlay (-135):
UCLA
Western Kentucky
Chattanooga
Western Kentucky: Doing everything right at home and facing a Little Rock team that turns the ball over too much and doesn't have a go-to guy like WKU to score down the stretch. They defend their home court better than almost every team in the nation, in a conference where road teams don't travel that well to begin with. Thinking and hoping that trend continues here.
Chattanooga: Another excellent home team that I believe matches up well with Georgia Southern - they have a host of big men that are somewhat interchangeable and rebound the shit out of the basketball, which should be a change of pace for Southern which normally enjoys a rebounding advantage. They also have a couple of guards very capable of scoring and scoring from beyond the arc. Chattanooga has lost to some very difficult teams this year but they always bring their best at home and I've looked to try them on their home court this year.
1 unit:
UW-Green Bay +6 (-110)...When they've lost, they've lost close and are more than capable of going to Wright State and beating this squad, they have the talent offensively, they shoot well from the line, and they play alot of guys, which is a benefit because they can aggressively play Brown and Duggins.
