jaypaw,
Look at Uconn at home vs the road. Something like 1-7 ats on road but at home have beaten Syracuse by about 30 less than 2 weeks ago who just beat Miami by 17 at their place. They have blown out OU at home which is not easy either. In fact, Jaypaw, here is Uconn at home so far:
Yale -won by 10
Nevada-won by 14
Sacred Heart- won by 47
Lehigh-won by 20
Army-won by 28
Quinnipiac-won by 33
Iona-won by 50
Ball State-won by 39
UMAss-won by 24
Oklahoma-won by 27
Georgetown-won by 24
Pitt-won by 3 *
Providence-lost by 10
Syracuse-won by 28
West Virginia-won by 30
Utah was neutral but won by 32. *
All games with *'s were wins after losses. They have lost 5 games and are on 2 game losing streak. Only game not listed was at Virginia Tech after loss and they won by 36.
I would say this is some overwhelming proof of what UConn does at home vs inferior competion. What about a below avg team without leading scorer?
Miami on road this year have won 2 at St. John's and Va Tech and have been somewhat competitive in losses. With Rice out, it doesn't look good and the only game they played top competion was at Pitt lost by 4 and No.Carolina lost by 23. Hope this helps.
