Wolfie like I said I've known the guy for years and he has helped me out tremendously. Living here for 30+ years and dealing in law definitely makes him more of an authority than alot of ticos...Read his articles on am costa rica they deal with immigration, taxes, offshore corporations he's written dozens of articles on his own time.

I am sure you are right about that, I wasn't disputing that.

My point was that to understand the culture and the mechanics behind it......its not just a matter of knowing the law/mechanism/tricks/etc

It takes a lot of knowing what happened here /why to understand why Ticos have certain attitudes against monopolies/foreigners/etc , not saying he does /doesn't have that knowledge

I was just saying that I find it hard to believe that a foreigner can truly know the things I am talking about

Many things get lost or simply do not have a translation

There are plenty of locals that understand the situation, such as Oscar Arias! Sometimes a third party perspective can bring something to the table, also since it is difficult for most ticos to get visas to travel, most have a limited world view. I don't want to disrespect Costa Rica, I love it, but it does have it's problems. Should we just ignore them? or try to do something about it?

Don't you have any peons to fire?

Regardless, I find it funny that he says "us Gringos" like he came here with suitcases full of money with the intention of helping people. The only people Brock Lee has kept out of tin shacks is the coke dealers and whores.

NES! you are a self righteous, judgmental piece of shit. What have you done to make this country a better place? Helped a dog? took a girl out of the hood, got her a nose job, fake titties? You da man! BTW, she still does coke, with your friends!

I agree with that but at the same time there are many things that are not that hard to understand.

This one: do not fucking bribe the cops. why? because eventually you are going to get fucked

You don't need much of a world view to understand that one. Yet........we repeatedly see that as an option (by both Gringos! :ohno: and Ticos and they even brag as to how they got away with 'x' ........)

Until people understand that everything has a consequence (bribing cops/not obeying transit rules/throwing garbage on the roads/rivers/street etc) we are fucked regardless of how much 'transfer' of foreign culture you have

Sorry but my girls titties are real and Im not being any more judgmental than you in your last post. I trash talk ticos with the best of them but the "if it wasnt for us" speach is getting old and is completely retarded. Sounds stupid when VD says it, sounds stupid would you say it. Its about time Gringos got over themselves dont you think? I mean our homeland is falling apart as well. Not too many cultures are doing things right, and the things that the majority of the Gringos do here isnt making anyones life better except for the ones I mentioned in my previous post.

A broken system can not be fixed with a broken attitude towards it.

That's right people have lost all trust in their government and the system they live in, sick of turning on the news to watch their precious nation falling apart.... You're talking about the United States, right?

"Americans"
you need to focus on cleaning up the fucking mess you have in your own country and stop critizing, screwing and destroying others.

We have a lot to change and work on to improve our lives I know this, but I also know that you guys have no right to critize how we live our lives, for as long as your people keep living the same way you have for the last decades, shame on you, go fix your own country.
