If you know Crabs so well then you know he will go no matter what. He is the most fierce competitor I have seen at Tech. Crabtree hasnt been healthy a lot of this year yet he is still a huge threat and requires double coverage. This enables the TT WR corps to find vacancies down field. I will take a 50% Crabtree anyday.

I was in no way comparing the two teams just making the point that if GH played that game why would he not play this game?? No way Potts goes, but you are right if Potts does play TT goes down.

From your initial post you made it seem TT's two best players were out/questionable. I just dont see that as being true. The line would be way different with that kind of info.

Good Luck it should be a fun game.

Sorry about that. I just meant that neither of them would be close to 100% and they both will play. Since you are a Tech fan you'll understand how not being able to cut on passing routes can make a difference. Also it's a different field than what Tech is used to playing on. I'm looking forwaard to the game as well and it will be a TECH HOME GAME as I believe DFW area has largest contingent of Tech boosters in Texas. Judging by the night life this week, I'd say Tech is well represented.

Texas Tech just keeps scoring and keeps running plays, the don't stop and I like teams like that. If it's the shootout it's supposed to be, I'll take the team that just doesn't stop and will keep firing to get the cover.

Actually the field really worries me. We are not the same on grass as we are on turff.

The one thing that excites me is that this really is a "home" game for TT. Tech seems to play at a different level in front of their fans. We will see what happens tomorrow. Thanks for the info, I just hope we are 100%.

I don't know if I would consider it a home game for Texas Tech. Ole Miss sold out there allottment of 30,000 quicker than any team. Texas Tech will have more fans mainly because of corporate sponsorship tickets. But I expect 35,000 Ole Miss fans there.

I'm on Texas Tech -3.5.

Not much being said here, but Ole Miss has the worst defensive backfield in the SEC......that's fact. If Tech's big-ass offensive line can protect Harrell, the then Dallas burn unit will need to be ready for Nutt.

I do like the Rebs in the first half.....and I like the first half UNDER.

By the way, have any of you seen Nutt's bowl record?

Tech Team Total is 34.5 Over -130.

Thinking about it with Ole Miss secondary.

LOL
I was just looking at that stat as well. They have a habit of getting down early and rallying back to get a win.
08 - down 17-7 to UVA rallied to win 31-28
07 - down 35-7 to Minny rallied to win 44-41

I can see Miss getting a fast start in this one.

WinOne!!
WinOne...The reason this happens is because Texas Tech is a rhythm and timing based pass offense. And it's not easy for these kinds of offenses to come right out of the gate up to speed between Harrell and his WR's after a month off.. Now whether Leach is doing anything different this year I don't know. I'm sure he's aware of their slow starts. But I'm still going to have a small wager on Ole Miss +3 for the first half.

TT's stats, unfortunately, are inflated as shit though. Beating up on weak-ass Big 12 teams, like normal, and then somewhat shitting the bed against teams just as talented as they are. This Ole Miss D will be the best D TT has played all season and should keep them to less than 35 points.

This Tech D is not good enough to keep Miss from scoring 31-35 themselves. Miss has two big 215+ lbs. RBs that can do what Brown/Murray were able to do as Ole Miss' offensive line is very good as well. Ole Miss needs to come out hot because if they can dictate the tempo early, get 10-14 early running points...they can control the whole game. I really like Snead but if Ole Miss has to play catch-up for 3Q's, this could be ugly.

Did everyone forget that Graham Harrell is playing for his NFL future today?

There are players on this Ole Miss D trying to improve their stock too. I have no doubt Texas Tech will get its points but I see Ole Miss being able to run up the cock chute all day on this shit Big 12 D.
