The Chicago Bears are trading the No. 1 pick in this year's NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday.
Chicago will get wide receiver DJ Moore, the Panthers' first-round pick, No. 9 overall, the 61st pick, another first-rounder in 2024 and a second-rounder in 2025.

Yea, that's a good deal for the Bears. They just got a solid receiver, which they need badly, AND the 9th pick. AND more.

Carolina better make the right QB choice or fans are not gonna be happy.

Seattle now positioned to land a blue chip defensive talent as a result...Like the move
Chances improved to pick Anderson, Carter, or Texas Tech defensive end Tyree Wilson

If Levis fell to 9; the Bears would and should take him

Unbeleiveable that they have never had a true franchise quarterback

Great trade for Bears; horrible trade for Carolina. What; take Bryce Young? My take on him is lightning in a bottle potentially for 3 years but zero chance of starting for 9 years. So you can pay him 4 milion a year; build your roster and after 4 years, you leave him. And its not even a question. You go in with that plan.

Not the same old Bears, they are under new management last few yrs and are going in the right direction, made a more than solid trade with the Panthers, and have pulled off decent free agent signings so far.

Now lets see if Fields can win football games with decent receivers and an upgraded OL (FA & draft) --- without running all the time (1100 yards last year) and getting dinged a lot. His accuracy is still a ??? I have my doubts. We shall see.

They won 3 last yr, don't know their FA signings after today, don't know their draft, but 8-9 this year is more than possible.

Agreed

Let's see what Fields can do with a few better players around him

No doubt he compensated well last year in making things happen

It is the same old Bears. Fields sucks. That isn't even debateable. They try in 2023 to pretend like football is played today like it was in 1982... " monsters of the midway, we are tough" OK Rex Ryan.

There best qb in 50 years is Jay Cutler who gave them like 2 seasons of anything. Bears are too stupid to be in ther NFL... Seriously, who drafts Justin Fields before the 5th round? Funny that the guy that beat him out at Georgia can't start but Fields can.

Fields is a mentally weak and stupid guy.

Frank Reich gives up a ton and his prize??? CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson. 2 guys that I would not pick before the 5th round.

Bears win this trade easily.
