Wall Street Journal:
Views of Harris have turned more negative since August, when equal shares of voters viewed her favorably and unfavorably. Now, the unfavorable views are dominant by 8 percentage points, 53% to 45%. Moreover, voters give Harris her worst job rating as vice president in the three times the Journal has asked about it since July, with 42% approving and 54% disapproving of her performance.

By contrast, views of Trump have turned rosier. Voters recall his time as president more positively than at any point in this election cycle, with 52% approving and 48% disapproving of his performance in office—a 4-point positive job rating that contrasts with the 12-point negative rating for Harris.

And:

Just published CNBC poll shows Trump slightly more popular than Harris nationally, with Trump’s rating at 42% positive, 48% negative (-6 net rating), while Harris' stood at 39% positive, 49% negative (-10).

And:
Gallup - 10/22

Favorable/Unfavorable rating

Trump: 50%-48% (+2)
Harris: 48%-50% (-2)

In a national poll from NY Times/Sienna released Friday, Donald Trump has surged to a one-point lead over Kamala Harris, 47 to 46 percent.

A little over two weeks ago, this same pollster showed the former president losing to Harris by three points, 44 to 47 percent.

Chris Gonzalez, 33, just voted in his first presidential election. The Tucson, Arizona, resident cast his ballot for former President Donald Trump.

Gonzalez is one of a growing number of Latino men who say they will vote Republican in this election cycle, compared with 2020, according to a September NBC News/Telemundo/CNBC poll, reducing a lead Democrats held over this key demographic.

In the swing state of Pennsylvania, 60-year-old mechanic Michael Perez said immigration was his top concern.

“The border. Shut it down,” he said, pointing to media reports about the presence of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in several U.S. communities.

He said he watched Harris’ interview on Fox News, but nothing she says would change his support for Trump.

Trump's doing much better with independents than in 2020. Harris leads them by a smidge nationally. Trump ahead a little in MI, PA & WI. Only Nixon 60, Ford 76 & Kerry 04 have won indies & lost.

Remember: voters are more likely to see Harris 2024 as too liberal vs. Biden 2020.

"Kamala Harris is doing worse than Joe Biden in 2020. Amongst independents, she's 12 points behind."
