I personally think its not that Im on a streak still,,, streaks last for a night,,, or 2 nights at best,,, I dont think Ive had 10 Losing nights in this ENTIRE NBA season,,,

I can buy a whole point on totals at every book I play at. Like Tate say if you can't you are playing at the wrong place.

OLY will let you BUY 10 points for a VIG of 600

CBS will let you buy up to 3 for a vig of 300

None of the 8 books that I use display an option to buy points for NBA totals and they are very safe books. Apparently, you must call your bets in.

Ok, about this point buying, From what I've read, if you paid -110 vig for every game, you would have to hit 54.5% winners in order to break even.
If you paid -120 vig by buying a 1/2 point for every game, you would have to hit 59% winners in order to break even.

Now, most of us probably don't pay full -110 for every game, nor do the point buyers buy points for every game. But, the numbers above are the parameters.

In the long run, it's a bad idea to buy points. Something to consider: if buying a half point for 10 cents is to one's advantage, would a book allow it? I don't think so. I think your mind is already made up, but I hope some will think about this. The books already have a built-in edge -- no need to help them out anymore.
