We can now officially put to rest all comparisons of COVID-19 to influenza. The numbers are in. Coronavirus is killing more Americans than the flu and almost everything else. According to data compiled by The Washington Post, COVID-19 is now the second leading cause of death in America.

In some parts of the country, it’s way ahead. In Louisiana and Washington, D.C., more people died of COVID-19 during the first week of April than any other cause. In New York, it’s not even close: 5,226 died in that state from the virus that week compared to 870 who died of heart disease.

I scoffed at Covid early on.

Have since changed my opinion.

I'm baffled by all who continue to laugh it off and want to move forward already by lifting restrictions.

It's not a movie & it's not a dream.

Much respect for admitting that.

Since the majority of the population has not witnessed or experienced it up close & personal, it will continue to be brushed off.

Until it spreads like wildfire and virtually everyone will be seriously affected by it personally or via an acquaintance.

About 4 hours north. Do you not know how to use Google Maps?

Lol. Was in a check out line 24” away form next customer with no masks in a Walmart where they don’t count people coming in. I was up next. Thanks for the info Dog

Hache, just different parts of the country are not “Armageddon” Maybe where u r? My wife works in an ER, in the trenches, they see a lot , treat as flu and send home recover. She is even thinking going to other cities where help needed and paying $100 an hour

No argument on that IF it happens , meaning opening up is not done slow, hand washing , etc in place , being aware of your surroundings

That wouldn't happen in my state. You are required to wear a mask in stores, etc, and they count people at every Wal-Mart.

The county I live in has 600,000 people.

Here are the stats as of noon today:

total cases: 156
deaths: 4

FACTS.

So do you ass-clowns think that my county should continue to be completely shut down, with people going out of business every single day?

Dang... Where is that?

So, we're basically proving that this should definitely be handled on a state-by-state, if not county-by-county basis.
Rural county in North Central PA.

They've only done 59 tests in the whole county so far.

Must've grown quite a bit since the 2010 consensus...
Williamson County (sometimes abbreviated as "Wilco")[SUP][1][/SUP] is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 422,679.[SUP][2][/SUP] Its county seat is Georgetown.[SUP][3][/SUP] The county is named for Robert McAlpin Williamson (1804?–1859), a community leader and a veteran of the Battle of San Jacinto.[SUP][4][/SUP]

It was the number one fasting growing county in the country recently.

Do you feel all cities and states should be treated exactly the same?

My wife and I love visiting central PA, she does work for a publishing company in Harrisburg, so we visit there usually once a summer...
