Costa Rica weather in July/August?

I was just offered to go visit CR in the summer and was wondering what the weather usually is like, specifically rain? thanks so much-

August is official Pray to the Lord it stops raining sometime during the day.

Thanks guys....I'm now unsure if I should make the trip during my time off if its going to be raining most of the time. I am looking to just relax and drink some cold ones.

Glen I got friends coming to town in August. We'll get up and do stuff in the morning when it's sunny. Take a nap in the afternoon when we get a thunderstorm, then hit the town at night. The only time not to come is Oct and Nov.

When I visited then it rained almost every fricken day. They told me it was the dry season.

Same thing in Singapore and Thailand. It rains every day around 4pm. They tell me it's the dry season here too and also in Thailand when I visited there. Maybe I have a cloud over my head when I visit a foreign country.

It rains, but is not awful...

Look.. if you stay in San Jose, Cartago or the Central Valley you might run in to some bad weather..

However in july we have a thing called "Verano de San Juan" which are like 2-3 weeks of very hot weather.. Anyways, Costa Rica is very small, but it offers tons of different weathers...

go to Guanacaste.. is awesome and you have 24 - 30 degrees celcius temperature all year long

I take full blame. Do you remember the comic strip "Lil Abner"? They had that guy called Joe Bftsplk who always had a cloud over his head. Whenever my passport gets scanned that damn cloud shows up over my head.
