correct me if im wrong but isnt every game in champs league today meaningless?

top 2 in both groups are set, and i dont think it really matters if you get 1st or 2nd since some good sides got runner up

Coming in first in the group enables you to face a more favourable opponent. Also, don't forget that 3rd place in some groups is still up for grabs, and that's an important spot as you get in the UEFA Cup with that spot. Only the last place team in each group has nothing to play for.

ya i know 3rd place is important but sides like chelsea and inter are 2nd place teams so far, i wouldnt be thrilled to see either one of them in first knockout round
